Show your kids love no matter what. Encourage them, talk with them, praise them for doing good, help them through tough times, and just let them know that you will always be there.

Well, my son is 2 and a half and he has been the most awe inspiring person, aside from my wife , I've ever known. And out of pure RESPECT for my child I give him complete control and attention. We never talked baby talk so his vocab. is amazing and I can call him on the phone already and have 10 min conversations. I found out that being a great dad didn't have to come from buying things. It is just time. Sometimes I stick with him fully to show him I'll always be there. And other times I have to let him build his imagination. But even in moments of discipline I hug and kiss him after I explain what was done wrong. I am 30 yrs old and my best friend is my son. I only pray society doesn't change that. Watch him a lot, see what he does when you're not around, poke fun and always play.....Good Luck Remember he is NOT you and needs to find himself, lead him, don''t push him.

Be there for your kids. Communication and having a father/child relationship whereas your child can always come to you for any answers or insights. These days and times, a parent needs to be there constantly right over the kid because there so many things out there that can cause your child to mess up and experimenting wrong things. If the parent was there, there's a chance it wouldn't happen. I've never had good communication with my parents and it has caused tension. Just to buy clothes, food, and a roof over your children isn't enough! You have to be there emotional, and physically for your children because as a parent you are their guards, their protector from harm and hurt from the outside. Good luck.

Read "Unconditional Parenting" by Alfie Kohn and practice the suggestions he gives. I've read hundreds of "parenting manuals" over the past 15 years and this one stands out as a work of parenting art. It will help you reflect on the practices most folks see as vital and improve on them.

Good Luck!!

well u can start by being there for your kids when ever they need you , tell them how much you love them, how proud you are of them , spend time with them so u can know what's going on in their life's , be supportive and when they make a mistake don't immediately blow up on them that's the last thing they need let them know you are there for them and be understanding let them know u are not to happy but you still love them besides mistakes is how we learn in life after all. but most of all be an ex sample so they can say one day "i wanna be like daddy".

Study to know the living God through his son Jesus Christ. He is called the Everlasting Father in the ninth chapter of Isaiah. He thought up fatherhood and is the only perfect example. Get to know him. If you're not sure where to start, ask Him. His word says, "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you," and in another place, "Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you didn't know." Practically, love them and spend time with them. They just want to be with you.
