I guess thats what they are called. It seems like it would be a great idea, but the two times I have seen them in use the picture that I got was lazy parents and humiliation for the child.
Please tell me if I am wrong.

The thing is, I had a review on my child support. With the new amount they want me to pay I can't afford those payments. I called one of the workers in Colorado and she said for this process not to go through, I need to send them a "request of hearing" form so I can explain and show why I can't afford the new payments.

This term really irritates me. I personally think it sounds very unintelligent. I have always used either My fiance because we are engaged, or my childrens' father. Doesn't referring to him as your child's father sound a lot better than "my baby daddy?"

Why do parents not dicipline their kids anymore? Kid have no respect for any one or any thing any more. And why do parents never take the blame for their kids actions? Aren't you the ones who raised them to be the way they are?

My five year old son has recently started this attitude thing. He is constantly mouthing off and is totally rude. He gets angry in a split second. At school he is an angel and I get nothing but good reports, but we aren't even to the car after picking him up and he starts running his mouth. When I punish him he doesn't take it as a readjustment for him, he just yells at me saying I'm a bad mom for disiplining him. I've taken away TV time and favorite toys for periods of time. I try to reason with him what his actions and words really mean. Still no luck. He acts as though he is the boss and that how dare I anger HIM. Is this a common phase for 5 year old boys, or is there some underlining issues I need to deal with for him? Help Help Help!

My hubby & his EX have a 10yr son. They divorce when he was 4 but ever since his mom had always bought him every video game it comes out with 3-5 games to play. But she let's him play all day if he wants & when my step-son comes home he wants to do the same thing he rather like to play his x-box or his game boy than playing with us or go outside on the bike or to the park..My hubby allready talk to her & explain the situation but she seems not to understand there is always problems w/my hubby & his son cuz of the video games his son doesn't obey him & his mom just laugh she thinks its funny. My hubby had try to take away the video games & game boy by hidding them so he can play w/ his brother & sis.BUt what he end up doing is just be in his room watching TV, we took away the TV but he still ignores my hubby they used to had a good relationship but i think he is much into video games. What to do to help him out or make her understand is bad for him? Like the parents who obviously see time-outs are not effective but use them anyway, the parents who laugh when their 4 year-olds call them "bitches" and yell "Mommy, I hate you!!" at the top of their lungs just because they were asked to pick up their toys, the parents who just give up on discipline for their kids and go run off to the doctor and grap a script for ritalin because they label the kid as having ADHD and sll he needed was a few good *** whoopings and some chores. How do you think these kids are going to be in 20 years? Are you afraid for your own kids?

Mothers who breastfed at least 4 months (or longer), how often were your children ill in their first year of life? Did you notice them develop any advanced cognitive abilities or development? Did the child ever require hospitilization? Are they overweight or suffering from juvenile diabetes?

Mothers who formula fed from day one, how often were your children ill in the first year of life? Did you notice any decreased cognitive abilities or developmental issues? Did the child ever require hospitilazation? Are they now overweight or suffering from juvenile diabetes?

I ask because I was a formula fed child who is a sound and healthy adult, and in superb shape. I fed my children breastmilk for 5 months each. My youngest, who just got on formula, has had a cold whilst on breastmilk when she was only a month old. My oldest, had an intestinal virus whilst on breastmilk at age 3 months that required hospital treatment. I was never ill in my first year of life on formula. Just curious.

my neighbor got upset because someone said something to her about her kids and she took it as they think she is a bad mom .
her kids are 2. 3. &4. they never have clothes on when they are outside , all still take bottles [one sufferes baby bottle tooth decay ] none are being potty trained . the kids were brought home by the police because they wondered into a fastfood place alone , not to mention a neighbor brought them home once also from the same fast food place.
they are rarely supervised outside. never have shoes on , and are just down right filthy all the time .
how would you go about saying something to her with out being outright mean about it ? she sometimes asks me to keep an eye out for her kids while she is at school . i have 5 kids of my own and she knows the neighbors compare the fact with 5 and 2 having mental disabilities i take care of my kids better then she does .
any suggestions?
