Yes it is true. Once you have nursed most people have no problem starting to nurse again even a child that they themselves did not have.

yes it's work but it can be done... i breast fed my son then when he was weaned for a year... my baby sister was born and my mother could not get her to eat...i was able to start breast feeding her it was a little weird ...she was my baby sister...but I was glad I could help her! the breast will need to be pumped with a breast pump as if a new born was feeding ,,,like every 2-3 hours for about a week... drink alot of water and you should be breast feeding in no time! try the link below for more help

It is very possible for a woman who previously birthed and breastfed a baby to begin to lactate once she is in daily contact with a newborn, absolutely (even after a few years).

It is NOT definite, though, so she may want to work with her OB/GYN to see if there are some hormone treatment that can help restart the lactation.

I kept milk for a year after I stopped pumping for my son (5 years ago). I still have milk leaking even though I quit pumping for my baby girl too, just a month ago. The old milk tends to be salty though, so even though it's true a woman can still make milk, I would assume she needs to really build the supply back up so it will taste good to the baby. WIC clinics usually can help you relactate and will let you rent electric pumps for free.

No the milk dries up fairly quickly if the mother doesn't stops breatfeeding. Then the only way to get more breast milk is to become pregnant and deliver again.Once it is gone there is no bringing it back.

I think she may have to get hormones from the doctor first, but yes it is possible.
