Absolute hellions. They think they run the show at home and will have a serious learning curve to catch up to when they hit the "real world." Parent should understand they are raising adults, not just perpetual children.

They are going to be just like the adults we see today who are 30 years old and still live at home with mommy and daddy. Who have no grip on reality and what it is to live in the real world. Who go to the clubs in the City every winter and the Hampton every summer and work just so that they can wear Tommy Hilfiger and carry Gucci bags and sustain their party life style. They will be 35 years old looking like their 45 because they did so many drugs and drank so much alcohol.
I'm not nervous about them influencing my son. I explained to him a long time ago that these kids will probably have more problems in the future being an adult. I told him that they are not my kids, I don't care how they act and if they were my kids they wouldn't be allowed to behave that way. I am lucky that I have an extremely understand child. He trusts that I am right. PHEW!
I am a firm believer that most people (I said MOST, not all) who are on ADD drugs or anti-depressants don't need to be on them, they are just scared of doing it on their own, because they have been told their whole lives that they will need mommy and daddy to help them out.

Who says they are not disciplined? There are other ways than spanking a child. And ADHD is a bigger problem than you think. meds help but there are other ways to manage it. Unfortunately, it is genetic and children that suffer from it most likely have one or both parents that suffer from it, too. This makes many of the positive discipline techniques hard to stick with. And people who resort to spanking also might have issues since they can't seem to think of any other way to discipline the child (BTW, when I say discipline I mean 'teach' not 'punish). And ADHD isn't the only MH problem out there. My nephew has Asperger's Syndrome and he can be very violent toward his sister and mother. Someone who is intolerant will blame the mother for not disciplining the child (BTW, spanking only makes things worse for my nephew) when this poor woman is probably down to her last nerve trying to figure out how to help her child.
Yes, some children are completely undisciplined and they will have their own problems later on but these are kids who are totally neglected or abused.

I am afraid of the influence that little hellians like that could have on my child, but I hope I raise him well enough to make good decisions. I try everything to avoid "spankings" but let me tell you I won't hesitate if the situation really calls for it, it's like a level system, He refuses to pick up his toys? Fine then I start throwing them in the freaking trash, that gets his attention, but as far as disrespect, he gets only ONE warning, if he gets mouthy I say, "DONT YOU TALK TO ME OR YOUR FATHER LIKE THAT!" and if he tries to push the limit you know dam* well there is a swat heading his way. If he doesn't listen for life threatening things, Oh yeah a spanking is coming, like if he is running thinking it is funny and I say stop (even if it is safe) and he doesn't stop, he gets a spanking. What if next time he is running into the path of a moving vehicle? I would rather him think, Hmmm, I don't want the spanking then to think, "Yeah right mom!" and get hit by a car instead! Its all about consistancy.

well the way chiled wellfair is now days it is very hard to know the right way to discipline children if I had ever put my parents through what I see alot of parents going through now days I think I would have not had a behind to sit on. now days you can't do this you can't do that how can you expect a chiled to know what chiled abuse is if \ Thay/ keep telling children if your parents hit you report it. someone should figure out what is going on. A friend of mine told me that her Daudhter got reported for abuse when she hit her daughter a 12 yr. old on the butt in a parking lot because she was having a fit because her Mother woulden't buy her somthing. ,my friends daughter was very surprised when a state trooper came to her house and told her that she had been reported for abusing her daughter and someone had taken down her licence plate number and turned it in . and the chiled coulden't even remember her mother hitting her. now days you can't even make your children mind and the children know that too.

They will be surprised that the adult world could care less about their tantrums and they will not get everything they want. What a rude awakening! Or they will grow up and live off welfare forever because the world owes them.
