No. It's not sanitary for any other moviegoers, and it's not safe for him. Just because his buddy is trashy doesn't mean he can be too.

Yes! Of course, let your son go barefoot. Most people have the impression that something's wrong with it because it's not common in the US. What they fail to realize is that letting you child go barefoot is a clean, safe, healthy habbit that he can enjoy. Also contray to popular belief, it's NOT illegal. You don't have to take my word for it, go to your State Health Department's website and see for yourself! give him the freedom to be a kid, while he can be one. If he wants to go barefoot, let him. In fact, ues the heath-dept link below and find you state on the list. there should be a link to info from the state's health department

I would not want anyone that I cared about to walk into a movie theater barefoot. Have you seen what those floors look like when they turn on the lights?? Ewwwwwwww! NO!!
Besides, they might get kicked out if they get caught. But STILL...Ewwwwwww!!!

This is not safe nor legal. Your son may catch hookworms from the dirty floor, so I would say that it's not a good way to go for a healthy child. It's alright to take off your shoes DURING a movie, but it is illegal to go into a public area without shoes.

No shirt, no shoes, no service... I wouldn't let my kid walk around in public without shoes if I were you. They can get stepped on or step on something that could hurt them. Plus, they're walking all over the germs carried in on other people's shoes.

If your son's friend blew his brains out, would it be alright to let him do it too? Get a grip for God's sake.
