Today is my first day babysitting a 1 yr old (I have 2 & 5 yr olds of my own) He has been crying for his mother for over 2 hours (close to 3). He refuses his bottle and food. I have tried rocking, singing, dancing, cartoon, toys, going outside, a bath, soothing music, swinging.......pretty much anything I can think of......anyone else have any ideas?

My daugther is 6 months, only uses her crib for bedtime. She is rolling over, and nearly crawling. When should I lower the crib? She does not roll in the crib at all, when its bedtime she basically falls asleep right away. She wakes up every day at 7am, and I am already up, so shes not unattended in her crib at all when shes awake. Should I lower her crib or am I fine till she starts pulling herself up?

I use baby All to wash my baby's clothes, blankets, towels, washclothes, etc. However, sometimes the clothes don't feel as soft as when I first got them. They are stiffer and a little wrinkled. Can you use fabric softner sheets or fabric softner liquids or is that too harsh for baby?

My 4-month old son recieved his 4-month shots yesterday. Now he has been running almost 103 fever. He had tylenol yesterday right after his shots in the doctors office. And then he had some more last night. He also had some this morning. I know that they will run a fever but, I just worried because he's so young. Can anyone relate to this?

My breasts only make enough milk for him for one feeding and I don't want to have to give him formula during that time. Can anyone give me any advice on how to increase my milk supply so that I may be able to express milk a couple days before the 24 I won't be able to nurse so he'll have that?

How did your babies act at six months, were they curious grabbing everything they could put their hands on, crying if you took away their toys, very interseted in their toys and will play with them for half an hour while sitting up on their own? Did they follow you around the room, or if someone new entered the room did they look at that person even if that person didnt make a sound..I swear mabye I just think my baby is smarter then others...because she is so alert its weird.

My 9 month old daughter has very dry skin all over her body. I use the Aveeno baby cream and have cut down on the soapy baths (we still give her a bath at night to keep the night routine, just without the soap). Anyway, the worst part of it is in her hair. She definitely does not have cradle cap, it is not thick and yellow scaly stuff, but rather thin, white flakes. She doesn't have that much hair so it looks nasty. Does anyone have any advice for me?
