My son always falls asleep when i try and burp him... and its hard to wake him up. what should i do. I try over the shoulder burping and having him sitting up and patting his back

When mine did that, I'd turn him on his tummy and rub his back in an upward motion. He usually would burp on his own. He never was a big burper, though. Sometimes he didn't burp at all, with no ill effects.

You don't have to wake him up to burp him, even if her falls asleep either sitting or on your shoulder just continue. He may not need to burp either. We used to give my first daughter her last bottle of night while she was sleeping (this was the only time she'd drink a full bottle), she would never even open her eyes, just drink and go back to sleep.

You can burp your child when hes sleeping you know. Just do your normal thing and it will come out regardless.

Try laying baby on his stomach on your lap and pat his back. Be sure to support his head.

I use to lay my children across my lap (on their stomach) and do little bounces with my legs. It always worked.
