My daugther is 6 months, only uses her crib for bedtime. She is rolling over, and nearly crawling. When should I lower the crib? She does not roll in the crib at all, when its bedtime she basically falls asleep right away. She wakes up every day at 7am, and I am already up, so shes not unattended in her crib at all when shes awake. Should I lower her crib or am I fine till she starts pulling herself up?

As soon as she can sit up, or pull her self up it is time. As long as she does not do this it is alright.

I would lower it know. Its not a big deal to put the mattress down and if it saves her from a tumble over the side it was a well spent 5 minutes moving the mattress down. Plus if you put the mattress down she will probably enjoy using the bars on the crib to pull her self up into standing position sooner or later.

My son is 8 months old today and I have yet to lower his mattress. I would just wait until you think you need to. I will probably wait until either he is actually crawling or trying to get out of the crib. My son is rolling over in his crib in his sleep and like I said I have yet to lower it.

I just lowered ours on Sunday. My daughter is seven months. I think it just depends on thier development. My daughter is not pulling up and is not crawling yet either. We were in the same boat. She isn't an active sleeper. She rolled over in her sleep for the first time the other night and was not happy about it. You should probably start thinking about lowering it though, especialy if she is nearly crawling. Once she is up on her arms and legs it doesn't take much to pull up or to sit up.

I kept mine up until 8 month and 1/2. She never pulled herself up until then. I also have a monitor video camera so I could see her. The first attemt at pulling herself up I lowered the matress.

Best of luck with your decision and enjoy your little princess!
