My 4 week old son has an extremely weak cry for the last 2 days. Almost sounds like he is losing his voice... is this something to worry about?? He is eating normally, pees frequently, but BM's are a lot less than they were before.

Hi, we just switched from Similac Adv. to Isomil Adv. The doc also had us using Mylicon w/each feeding. My son has been on Isomil for just 4 days and he still seems to be spitting up. It seems to be only during the daytime that he has gassy/spit up problems - not at night or while sleeping (before on the Similac Adv, he would spit up at night a lot and it would come out of his nose). How long should I give formulas to take before switching? I don't want to switch too much or too fast. Has anyone else experienced formula coming out of the nose? (This has only happened a few times, but it freaks him out!)

My daughter can sit without support, crawls (very fast), and is starting to pull herself up to a standing position using furniture or toys, but she can not get into the sitting position on her own. She is 9 months old.

I have a five week old baby boy. He was 8 lbs 3 oz born and now at five weeks in already pretty much 12 lbs. My pediatrician says its fine as long as he is eating and making frequent wet diapers (which he does). I bottle feed and he eats 4 oz. every 2 hours if I get 2 1/2 hours out of him I am lucky and he has been eating like this for atleast 2 or 3 weeks. Does this seem normal?

Also he got thrush so I just started him on meds from the doctor. Could this have anything to do with it? Any other women have babies with thrush? Does it take long for the baby to get over it? My angel has been having a little problem eating this last couple days due to this I think. He will eat 1 or 2 oz then getting fussy then I wait a little bit and he will finally take the bottle again.

Thanks for any advice! :)

I've just been advised today from another mother that the fact that my 9 mth old daughter hasn't tried to take any weight on her legs could be a problem. She sits normally but hasn't yet tried to crawl but she does lay on her back and moves herself with her heels by pushing herself up, has anybody else had this issue or am i worrying about nothing and i've just got a late starter.?

About a 2 days ago I noticed 3 lumps between my left underarm going down to the breast. It's very painful, but the pain cames and goes away during the day. It is still a little tender to the touch. It's this normal I just had my baby Friday and started breastfeeding my baby right away can the breastfeeding be the cause of the lumps? And if the lumps are not normal should I stop breastfeeding from my left breast? Very Worry!!!

**Thanks

My daughter is 9 weeks old. She just within the last week started taking a "binkie". I haven't been giving it to her at night - only during the day. She was sleeping at night for 6-8 hours before waking up. Now that I have went back to work - she's only sleeping 3 hours or so and is REALLY fussy. I am breastfeeding her also. So, I know she is missing me and needs that extra comfort through a binkie, but I don't want to start a bad habit later on by giving her one at night. I have considered giving it to her after she goes down for the night and wakes up 3 hours later..... She weighs 14 lbs - I know she can sleep a lot longer than 3 hours, she used to consistently. We also have a bedtime routine every night. I don't know what to do? Any thoughts/suggestions??

My soon to be 4 month old son screamed his little body to sleep, after 4 hours. He ate last at 630 this morning. He takes 6 ounce cereal bottles. Not much cereal, only 2 tsp. Hes a big boy, he weighs 16 lbs 9 oz. He done okay from 7 am until 1030 am, from then on, he screamed at least 10 full minutes at a time, giving me and his father 2 minute intermissions. We thought at first he was hungery, that didnt solve it. He had a ear infection, for which he is still taking his medicene. The doc saw him yesterday, and said his ear looked excellent. So, we gave him his antibiotic and some tylenol, hoping to ease the pain. That didnt help. I didnt want to "drug him up" so I decided no motrin right now. So on he goes then proceeds to vomit x2. I just figured since he was crying so hard, that was the reason. Well, he continued to cry, and continued to vomit thick clear mucus. He done that about 4 times. I called his peditricain and he is out of the office today, wonderful, huh??! contuned...

My baby is 2 months old and has caught a nasty bug of some sort. My mother had it 5-6 days ago and last night the baby threw up like a grown person, Just once though then at 4 am she got diahria pretty bad and has been really uncomfortable being very sleepy, and looks drugged! She is holding down her fomula still but still has very watery yellow stool. Has anyone ever heard of a baby this young getting this? I feel so bad cause I dont know what to do for her.

I understand these girls are scared but why dump a baby on the side of the road like i just saw on the news?

Hell, if your scared which is understandable, drop your babies off on my doorstep and i'll make sure they can get to a hospital.

Other options are...........hospital, church, knock on someones front door and run off but for Gods sake don't throw them in dumpster or leave them in a shoe box!

She eats well normally and all has been well with the teething up until now, the top tooth broke through about 3 days ago and the bottom ones have been out for a few weeks. I wouldn't worry about her not eating but she is in the 10th percentile for her weight and I don't think she can afford to skip too many meals
