My youngest was able to stay seated at about 7 or so months. By 8 months, he was able to sit up on his own, with ease.

My daugther is 6 months and get sit up on her own, and can get into the sitting position from her tummy. As long as your child is sitting on their own, and crawling and trying to stand, I wouldn't worry.

my baby is 4 months old and has started 2 weeks ago sitting by herself she loves sitting straight up and gets angry if i try to lay her down.but everyone is different so just be patient shell know when its time for her to be ready
