in a housing situation, where a relative owns a house and you are buying a house from them, but you have no legal documentation and they say you owe them money, but you have been paying and you get no receipts from them, legally what are your rights, if you have no documentation, lease or otherwise saying you agree to pay anything. no signatures or nothing.

i got my hat taken away from me today from a school employee when i was sitting listening to what she had to say. it is a hat with two crossing pistols on it whith the maker's name on it "pistol Pete" i think that this is ludacris and they should give me my hat back since it is my constitutional right to wear whatever the hell i want. another reason why it is not ok to take my hat is because it is not distracting. but they said that my hat " is not promoting a safe environment ". umm people at my school are bringing chains to school with self defense weapons on their keychain and yet they have to take away my hat...

(please when you answer this give me lawful facts of why i should not be allowed to wear my hat in school, not your oppinion of why i should not be conserned with something so trivial as what i wear to school.)

This is a very controversial topic. I am pro-life myself, but I want to hear the other side of the story. Personally, I think that it is sick to kill a baby.

Mayor Wants Billboards Removed
AP
NEWARK, N.J. (March 27) - The head of the city's teachers union said it won't take down "Stop the killings" billboards despite complaints from business owners and the new mayor that they're driving away business.

Mayor Cory Booker, who campaigned last year on a promise of reducing crime, says the signs fuel a negative image of the city, where a record 106 people were killed last year - the highest number in a decade.

"I know if I had tens of thousands of dollars, I wouldn't use them on billboards," Booker said. "I would use them for after-school programs. I would use them to help teachers get supplies."

The six billboards in the downtown area were put up about two months ago. They scream, "HELP WANTED: Stop the Killings in Newark Now!" Joe Del Grosso, president of the Newark Teachers Union, wouldn't say how much the signs cost.

"I think we have a serious problem," said Del Grosso, whose union endorsed Booker's opponent and is at odds with Booker over school vouchers. "It's about people dying."

I work in the field of protecting children and see so many cases of abuse and negect that could have been prevented if someone had simply made a phone call. We hear several excuses as to why a neighbor, friend or family member did not call: A few examples:
* If it weren't true I would hate to have had the parents mad at me (What if it WERE true? would you care if they liked you then?)
* I have and nothing was ever done (Keep calling every day UNTIL something is done, go as far as going to the news)
* It is none of my business (Then WHOSE is it? Some children can't speak for them selves)
* And believe it or not..the child must have deserved it, they probably talked back to their parents. (No child deserves it, no matter what kind of a brat that particular child might be)
What would prevent you from making such a call?

The New North Carolina Drivers Licenses Has a New Trackable Chip!

It was a sad day for me today as I called the local DMV. My cousin showed me her Renewed drivers licenses yesterday, and to my surprise there on the back was a new type of hologram. However as I came to find out today thru DMV sources it's not just a hologram it infact is a new trackable chip. They said infact it was a new homeland security project for this state. The officer also said that the cards which are trackable is just the first step in the new project, she also stated that other states had their own projects but that eventually all states would infactbe merged into the same system. This news shocked me to say the least but she also added that they were infact doing facial recignitions as well to go into the database. However before answering my questions she had a couple of her own such as, why do you want to know? Have you been involved with fake ID's ect. ect. I laughted and assured her that infact I was just a concerned citizen, and that I found it irronic how we are not the terrorists but that we have to submit to being treated as such. She however didn't seem amused. What as a nation have we allowed? Well as for me my drivers licenses don't expire until 2010, and until I move to a state that doesn't have such a policy or the policy itself is recended I'll stick with the ones I have!

Please do not accept this infringment on your constitutional rights! Fight back against tyranny!

I want to make sure an idiot doesn't jump the fence into my backyard, jump into my pool head first, bust his head open on the bottom of the pool, pass out and nearly drown and then try to sue me for breaking into my property and injuring himself.

I’m not talking about the sex offenders list. I’m talking about civil court matters.

Should our Government allow companies to obtain our phone numbers, addresses and other personal information for solicitation purposes?

If we elect to not list our phone numbers addresses and what now in the phone book or on the internet why can people obtain that information from the court house look and send you junk mail and call your cell phone?

I got a citation last year for speeding, which is appearing on my record. According to Minnesota statute 171.12 subvid. 6, the citation isn't reportable, meaning it shouldn't be on my record. How would I go about clearing that up?

In short, my question is: Do you think that our judicial system in it's entirety could use some reform.

Now, the some of the reasons I ask are:

Hypocrisy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy. Does it make sense to put people in jail for possesion of marijuana or other illegal substances, when the government makes billions of dollars each year by taxing alcohol, which is one of the most destructive substances that anyone could imbibe, and ciggarettes, which are some of the nastiest, most addictive, foulest, disgusting and harmful things ever, and yet we continue to mass produce them in factories...and then complain about overcrowding. Look, a murderer belongs in jail, but why you gonna throw Shaggy and Scooby in there with him?

Then there are the corrupt "representatives of the court". I certainly hope that you are as a whole aware that theireare many of them out there. Police officers, judges, etc...they are all human too, they simply have badges and guns and so can tell me my rights.

WASHINGTON -- Monica Goodling, a Justice Department official involved in the firings of federal prosecutors, will refuse to answer questions at upcoming Senate hearings, citing Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination, her lawyer said Monday.

"The potential for legal jeopardy for Ms. Goodling from even her most truthful and accurate testimony under these circumstances is very real," said the lawyer, John Dowd.

He said that members of the House and Senate Judiciary committees seem already to have made up their minds that wrongdoing has occurred in the firings.

Are we really the land of the free? When the government says that females a certain age (in some cities) must get a shot that may prevent a certain type of cancer. This freaks me out. What's next? Why is it, that we're all created equal, but homosexuals can't express their love for one another legally? Why can't I use my hands free cell phone in some places while I am driving? Why am I not allowed to smoke in public?Serioulsy, what's next?

I was going over my bank statement and found charges I never made. I traced them back to someone hacking into an online account and getting access to my debit card. I closed my accounts before any real damage was done, but I'm afraid they might be using my other information as well, since they hacked into a site that had my full name and birthdate (not SSN though) What do I need to do to ensure they don't try anything else?

Ok, I was walking my pitbull, on a leash, about an hour ago to the mailbox in my apartment complex. All of the sudden, another pitbull who was on a leash that was not being held by the owner rushed up to my dog and attacked it. My dog was good and stayed by my side like she was trained, but when the dog was attacking her, she did fight back. I was trying to get control of my dog and in the process my hands are cut up from rope burn on the leash. I was so mad, that I just gathered my stuff up (obviously the mail was dropped all over the ground)...and got my dog away from that crazy dog. Now, I'm starting to wonder if I should call my apt. manager to let her know what happened, just in case that woman...who didn't even say sorry, btw tries to do something crazy. I took pictures of the deep rope burns on my hands, not to sue or anything just to prove that I had the leash, while she didn't. So should I call, or should I not be worried? My dog is fine, btw, don't know about hers.
