I would strongly advise you to be represented by counsel. However, if a bench warrant has been issued YOU MUST APPEAR.

Yes, you always have the right representation by counsel. If you mean, can the attorney go in your place. The answer is no. You will have to appear.

I'm sorry I don't know the exact law regarding your question, but as a 38y/o male that has been straight reamed by the american judicial system because I DIDN'T have a lawyer, I would totally recommend getting one. It sure as hell can't do any harm...at least the courts will take you seriously, 'cause otherwise they won't...much love, peace.
