I am a seller on Ebay. I was contacted about 6 months ago regarding a suit I had for sale. The contactor said the brand name on the suit was an infringement on HIS brand name/domain registered on the internet for roughly 10 years.

I originally bought the suit, used, from Ebay.

I contacted Ebay, got some stupid canned response about how I was responsible for my listings, and decided to remove the suit. About a month later, I decided to re-list the suit, with a picture of the tag inside.

It didn't sell, and the user continued to harrass me through ebay. EBAY did nothing. I put the user on ignore. I contacted them through their site, which I found in google search. Now they harass me through my personal email. lol

Today they sent me an email saying I may be involved in a possible lawsuit, details to follow. They will not provide me with a name, and funny enough, will not answer phone calls from me to either of their lines.

Anyone? :D

I stupidly repeated gossip I had been told 4 years ago yesterday to the nurse at my G.P's, the gossip was about the practice manager, the conversation was supposedly just between the nurse and myself, I asked her not to repeat it....she repeated it to the practice manager, who then rang me and has threatend to sue me for defamation unless I write her a letter of appology which she intends to show my G.P, and the Dr who runs the After Hours surgery I attend at times, my husband will not let me give her the letter as he is worried that she then has proof to use to take me to court, I am on a disability pension, my husband is on a carers pension, I am so scared she will take what little we have, I know what I did was wrong, and I have apologized profusly, maybe she just wants to humiliate me in front of my Dr to teach me a lesson, I don't know what to do, should I see a lawyer and get them to send her a letter on my behalf, please help me, I feel ill from this, I am sorry for gossiping.

Do you believe in animal testing?...

Personally, i think its cruel to test on animals, for any purpose.
To time how long it takes an innocent and frightened animal to die, and recording how much pain they are in, is inhumane in my opinion. Researchers would get much more accurate results if they tested on humans. And what better humans to use than the ones that have committed horrific crimes?! It's the perfect punishment. Murderers and rapists should be top of the list for testing drugs, they should have the most potentially harmful or lethal drugs tested on them. Of course im not suggesting that petty crimes should be punished in such a way but the criminals that have damaged our society and taken or ruined peoples lives beyond repair, should be made to give something back to society and help save lives.

...Or do you believe in criminal testing?

What is the difference? How do we justification for the act of killing?

My sister one day went to my room and grabbed my IPOD. She went to a party and her friend (who I will call Lisa) took the IPOD without my sister’s consent. Lisa later admitted that she just “borrowed the IPOD” and that she would return it. However, she never did.

She has made up three different stories as to what happen. Bottom line, because she is a minor I don’t know how to legally get my IPOD back. I don’t know her last name but I know that she attends the same classes at my sister’s middle school.

HELP

Regardless of the transfer of the IPOD…that IPOD is my property and it is in the possession of that minor. I gave her 5 days to return it and she hasn’t done that so far.
