Dusting!? Legalize POT and kids won't die for a ten second high. Comments?

Kids are dying for a ten second high from "dusting" inhaling computer dusting products, for christ's sake. They do it because it's easy and legal to get, unlike pot. By the way studies on the matter have shown that stoned drivers are actually better drivers than Sober or Drunk, so would you rather I have a blunt and drive, or a beer?

I'm a recovering heroin addict and a substance-abuse counselor. Based on personal and professional experience, if alcohol is legal everything should be legal.
Prohibition didn't work. Nixon declared "war on drugs" in 1972; how's it working out for us? Put me in any decent sized city in this country and I could get you whatever you need within 1/2 an hour (but not today, thanks). I once copped in Baltimore in 15 minutes and that was only because the line was 5 mins. long!
Legalize and tax it all just like booze, which is the most abused and one of the most physically damaging drugs going. Spend the revenue and the money saved from said "war" on education and treatment. Pay for at least 30 days of treatment and pay counselors a living wage. Currently, publically funded detoxes allow 5-day treatment for opiates, 3-4 for alcohol.
And please don't think we're all scum. I've had Phd's and Masters-educated clients, doctors and nurses, lawyers and executives, your friends and family, your neighbors.
Treatment and recovery works. This misguided "war" hasn't and never will.

If marijuana was legal you still have Meth, Ecstasy, Heroin and Crack that they will use to kill themselves with. You can't say that legalizing marijuana will make the world a better place. You have to look at the whole picture. If it becomes legal, they will sell it in gas stations and convenience stores across America. What about that drug dealer who was making his child support payments off of it? Are you going to give him unemployment because he's out of a job? Are you going to set a legal limit like alcohol? Or will it be alright for someone who had 5 blunts to just get behind the wheel of there car and pull off? How will the cops know if your under the influence of weed or something else.

I just gotta know.. Who had a 10 second high and who died as a direct result of marijuana?

Pot isn't for kids. However, a recent study in England claims that it is less dangerous than cigarettes and alcohol (which are sold in convenient stores and gas stations, Lilbitt)
