The original statute 970.03 reads:

http://ojjdp.ncjrs.org/pubs/tryingjuvasadult/states/wi.html

“However, this reverse waiver procedure is not available in the case of a child of at least 15 accused of first degree intentional homicide, attempted first degree intentional homicide, first degree reckless homicide, or second degree intentional homicide.”

According to a newspaper article which came out today, Wednesday, January 31, 2007, this statute has been revised. Can someone tell me where this revision can be found?

I just started working for a large financial firm 3 months ago and hit my quarterly bonus which was about 1/4 of my total salary.

My company is going to withhold this money from me because I was still in the probationary employment period (90 days) when I achieved this bonus.

Should that matter or is it even legal?

The point is that I hit all my sales numbers and deserve this bonus. What should I do? I am very angry about all of this.

So I had a friend that was working at one of those magazine subscription places, you know the gimic you supposedly save SOOO much money by subscribing for two years..blah blah blah. Well my friend told me to sign up which i did, and yes i know that was stupid but he needed a lead. I did all of the information and when i talked to his supervior I asked her if I can cancel at anytime, she said well we and i quote "ask you to stay with the company" to which I said I understand that. I have been trying now for almost 6 months to cancel this subscription, to which I have been told that I can not cancel. I never signed a contract and I thought there had to be a way our be it paying an early cancellation fee or something. My friend told me to simply stop paying them which I have and they will go away since they can't hold me to something I never legally signed for. Is there anyway I can get them to stop calling me for collections when I have tried to cancel over 25 times?

Living Graves - by George Bernard Shaw

We are the living graves of murdered beasts,
Slaughtered to satisfy our appetites.
We never pause to wonder at our feasts,
If animals, like men, can possibly have rights.
We pray on Sundays that we may have light,
To guide our footsteps on the path we tread.
We're sick of war, we do not want to fight -
The thought of it now fills our hearts with dread,
And yet - we gorge ourselves upon the dead.
Like carrion crows we live and feed on meat,
Regardless of the suffering and the pain
we cause by doing so, if thus we treat
defenceless animals for sport or gain,
how can we hope in this world to attain,
the PEACE we say we are so anxious for.
We pray for it o'er hecatombs of slain,
to God, while outraging the moral law,
thus cruelty begets its offspring - WAR.

I'm a medical student who is also lisenced as a Paramedic (I worked for several years before medical school). I know in Indiana, there are doctors who retain their paramedic title and lisence, but I was wondering if this is also possible in Illinois? Are there legal or liability issues for working as a medic on a scene, but also having an MD?

I wonder why our president, vice president and on down the line are making so much money. I wonder who would run for president if there were no pay and done strictly as "a duty" to your country. With the saved dollars from paying politicians, how would that impact the homeless and lower income families in the country?
Why are pay increases not voted on? Government officials work for the American people! Why are we not allowed more control than the voting of more officials into a corrupt Washington?

It is very immoral and takes your focus out of your work. If anyone is found having a 'fling' or a 'relationship' with another person atleast in the same department, that person should be fired on the spot. Should companies take serious action to ban that from happening ever?

YES or NO?

Here is the synopsis:

We moved into a new home back in July. Electricity is on. We call the electric company and try to get service in our name. No luck. The company tells us that although they were not at liberty to say who was on the electricity account to our residence (customer privacy), that it had been paid. We talk to the next man in charge, same story. Same story song and dance until September. We then go to our landlord and ask her if she knew what was up with our electric bill. She had no clue either and said we only owed her rent and nothing else.

Finally, we get the electricity on in September in our name. Great. Okay, we ask the electric company what was the issue. They are not at liberty to discuss. Okay. Fast foward 3 weeks. We get a nastygram from not the landlord we rent from, but the BUILDER of the home who says we owe her $600 something bucks for the electric she FORGOT to turn off once the property was relinquished to the landlord.

I’d like to go out to a restaurant for dinner but am running a little low on cash. I’ve always heard a restaurant will provide a meal as long as you compensate by washing dishes for an agreed period of time.

I’m thinking of going somewhere like a Chili’s for the $9.99 trio special. I think 1.5 hours of washing dishes afterward will be fair.

Do I tell the waiter or waitress about this before or after the meal?

I have a guest coming to a conference who is kicking off about having to pay for parking because she uses crutches and is registered disabled. If her colleagues have to pay for their parking spaces why shouldn't she. Isn't it discrimination against her able bodied colleagues for them to have to pay for a service that she's getting for free. what do you think is fair?

I'm pretty confused about what the living will is but what I want to do is to name the guardian for our kid in case we die. We don't want any relatives to raise our daughter. And since we don't have any real estate or property to worry about and she's already the beneficiary on all bank accounts, that guardianship is all we need to take care of. Can we just write a letter or something and notarize it?

I brought a lawsuit against a common carrier and subsequently "prevailed" the findings were : unreasonable force ;
unlawful ejectment and battery...recent incident with same company and driver resulted in a search on my part through records on file at Superior Court. Where I found that counsel collaborated with the defense tor meet his account of what occurred on the day I was assaulted by the driver...I have solid documentation of this I fear that because the company as well as my lousy former lawyer supported and literally ratified his actions in the past, for whatever gain, that the driver has developed a sense of being untouchable in my regard. I am a disabled person who has epilepsy and am middle-age.
Why would an attorney do such a thing ?
Seems inconceivable, huh ?
Well, ask J. Herrrington Esq.,
She knows for sure
What can I do at this time ?
Report it to the State Bar ?

Peace.
