Is there a legal time limit which an employer has before paying money owed. I have recently been awarded a new pay band after appeal. My employer owes two years back pay. The award went through last November, but todays pay docket still shows my old pay band. Do I have any rights with regards to how long I have to wait for my new pay and my back pay.

No one else can see them, people would think unkindly of us. When enough people lodge reports against us, the authorities after observing us would think we were the ones when there does not seem to be anyone else around even touching us.

My Grandmothers property! When she passes it is suppose to go to her youngest sons. Somehow her older son got his name on the deed with survivor rights. She doesn't know how he got that done. How can we get that changed. Is it possible to get his name off there and how? We are in the State of Michigan. Can she or her (power of Attorney do anything about this? Can the place be sold to another Family member in order to keep it in the family??Cause if the older son gets it, it will be sold to whoever. He has already stated that ..Any advice would be greatly appreciated...We are very worried about this..

I can't seem to make up my mind about this organization. I want to believe that they are truly patriotic as I am and they will uphold our laws and at the same time show compassion, after all, that is the American way. But I've seen flag burnings and anti-minority gear that make me feel uneasy. I was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, I still remember when the Guardian Angels took to the streets of Hollywood, they really did make a difference. Could the Minute Men have the same result? What do you think my fellow Americans?

I have a BBA in MIS. 2 years after I graduated I decided to get a certification in Web Development @ the local Community College (CC). I completed the FAFSA & indicated I already had a degree.

I was awarded financial aid. A year later I applied 4 work study. I mentioned the fact that I used to work in the Business Office at the university I graduated from. A financial aid counselor for the CC then told me that I wasn't eligible for work study because I already had a degree and I shouldn't have received financial aid. She then told me I had to pay back the money to the CC.

I didn't have money at the time. I withdrew from classes and I didn't pay them. Now 6 years later I receive a letter from an attorney b/c the CC referred my acct to them.

I need to know if I'm liable. I didn't lie on my application...the CC made a mistake that I wasn't aware of. Should I get a lawyer?

Someone, please help.

I have a firend who needs some answers. He's been getting letters from child support stating he has to pay child support arrears.
He and the mother have not had contact for several years. Thier child was removed from the mother's home and placed in foster care a couple of years ago. Since then the mother has lost her maternal rights and he has lost his paternal rights to this child while incarcerated.
While the original petiton was filed by Dept. of Soc. Serv. the mother's name appears on the papers as petitioner. Right now moneyis being taken directly from his check and his income tax return.
He's wants to know if he is responsible for paying child support arrears to his child's mother if niether one of them had custody of the child?

Your answer could change my life for the next 5 years.
Which prosecutors office would have jurisdiction over a Protective Order violation? Details:
The Protective Order is out of a Utah court. In the same court, where the Petitioner resides, criminal charges were filed against the Respondent for "violation of restraining order". However, the Respondent was in Arizona and allegedly placed a phone call to the Petitioner, resulting in the alleged violation. Shouldn't the prosecutor in AZ have jurisdiction in this matter? The complaint specifically states that the Respondent was physically within the jurisdiction of the UT court when the alleged "crime" occurred. That is simply false and the judge wants us to find "case law" that states that the Respondent should have been charged in an AZ court. Since Protective Orders are valid nationwide, that seems to be a plausible suggestion. Any ideas? Anything you can think of should help. Thank you.

I have no written contract with my employer although I have worked at the same place for 6 years.

Currently I work Monday - Fridays 06.00 - 16.00 and Saturdays 07.00 - 13.00 with Sundays off. I put in a holiday request for a Friday and Saturday so I could have a long weekend away which was granted. I have since asked if I could have a Saturday off in the next couple of weeks and have been told that I am not allowed to take a Saturday off in future as a single day's holiday, (or a Fri & Sat together)either paid or unpaid unless it is part of a full week's holiday. Does this make any sense? Why should I use up a week's worth of holiday so I can have a Saturday off?
Can my employer insist when I can or can't take holidays or not? The other point is that a colleague has this Friday and Saturday off and nothing has been said about that. She also has some Saturdays booked off over the coming months which have been authorised. Am I being unfairly treated and if so what can I do about it?

Legal Advice from a big insurance company:

- One-half to his mother, if living, if not to his father, and one-half to his mother-in-law, if living, if not to his mother, if living, if not to his father.
Thereafter payment is to be made in a single sum to his brothers. On the one-half payable to his mother, if living, if not to his father, he does not bring in his mother-in-law as the next payee to receive, although on the one-half to his mother-in-law, he does bring in the mother or father.

I have grown up in western culture and as i grew up watching what little family values and self respect western society has for itself destroying itself sexual through sexual acts that breed aids to other countrys as well and broken family units that destroy the futures of children, without being taught what is and what is wrong .Western society now feeds on the addiction of people (which is abuse)through gambling ,drugs ,government drugs ,advertisers and pornography as i can think of more as well. The west now values the dollar over a healthy society and in the 1950's society valued the family and good work ethic overall .Changing religion is a lifestyle change. What do you think, it is a good idea or not?.A clean home is healthy home,A clean country is a healthy country .
