I was in an auto accident in Kansas, I was 12 weeks pregnant at the time and my oldest son 3 was in the car. A 96 year old women failed to yield hitting my vehcile from the side, both were totalled. My son had a busted lip, that was it, I lost the carliage in my right knee., Had to have surgery when I was 4 months pregnant as well as x-rays, MRI. I have been a nurse for 6 years and have always been warned of the risk of all those procedures when pregnant. I had to sign consents regarding my pregnancy and those procedures so the hospital would not be held liable. I had to have the surgery becasue I could not walk at all, without falling. I have lost my job d/t not being able to work 12 hour shifts anymore. My question is will my baby (unborn at the time of the accident) be compensated as well as my 3 year old son. Not trying to win the "Lotto" as far as a settlement, but worried about long term effects from the procedures I had done with my new baby.

Lately I have been hearing arguements that criminals ought to be rehabilitated rather than being locked up in prison for life. Is there hope for convicted criminals or is prison the best best place to keep them?

People insult religions all the time there are no cruel racist jokes against the white man.But if you insult a cop or say niger 45 of the 50 answers you get just say REPORTED!!!!! Why is that?I define niger as scum it can be of any race,religion,or profession.Everybody automaticaly assumes niger means blacks and then it's only offensive if a white man says it.Why?

Indiana new laws came in July 1st about children & non-custodial parents? any1 know about them ? please ... I am having problem, I have custody, the father is in prison and I want to move out ot the state, his mother has filed a motion on the fathers behalf to keep my child here, we go to court soon and i would like to know about the new laws & where to find them in Indiana - advice would be helpful, they have an attorney and i cannot afford one, he is a sex offender and has supervised visitation , can anyone help please, serious answers only, I have tried for a dismissal but the court says he still all his rights, even from Prison!! he has not had any contact with his child in 1 year and he was only arrested again this January 06, he was a convicted sex offender since 2003...

you here your young daughter( preteen) screeming,,you run to where she is and find her being raped,sexually assaulted,and SEVERELY beaten !!! the guy is a teenager or older,but you are capable of doing whatever you want to him !!! in the first split second do you

I have to go to court for a D.U.I in Tennessee. I have been told that I will have more than one court date. Like mine is Next Tuesday, but I evedently have to go back several more times. Is this true, and is there a way to speed it up? Its my first and LAST offense of any kind. So Im new to all this. I am moving to Wisconsin Aug 20th, thats why I need to know how many times I would have to have a court date. Thanks!

I worked at a big corporation and my boss "let me go". I know it's employment at will in California. I felt what was done to me was uncalled, inhumane, and unprofessional. So I wrote an email to the VP of the department what happened and to let him know how it can improve in the future, I did not ask for a reponse or was expecting it. He wrote back and "heartly" invited me to meet with him for breakfast to discuss this.

Why is the VP doing this? Is he afraid Im going to bring a lawsuit against the company? Should I tell him everything that happened or should I keep shut. I'm 22 and just graduated college and this was my first job right after.
Couple facts: Boss lets me go and when I ask why he told me in the email that it was due to budget constraint. Boss tell employees that too when they question him what happened to me. A few days later he goes to other employees and ask if they have friends to do the job I was doing. Thats just a part of it....

i haven't went to church since last summer. sometimes the people at church can be so fake. they pretend to catch the "holy ghost" before the priest even says anything. i don't know it could be the church i'm going to but i still believe in God. i can learn about the bible at home, why go to church? how do feel about this subject?

I head that in 1981 a change in California law , which became effective 1/1/1982, made all arrests for DUI a felony and there no longer was such a thing as misdemeanor DUI in California... it this true. Did that happen and/or was that change repealed since.

My simple phone plan is $12. A phone is somethign everyoine needs. However, my monthly bill shows additional $15 in federal and state fees....

Not to mention that money im paying that billy with is allready taxed.

I work at a town camp, & I have a feeling I'll be fired the end of the summer, just because I guess im not liked (im nice to everyone, just intimidating I guess). They'll probably try to pull some excuse that Im too old or whatever (but there are people older than me working the camps)

The only thing they have against me is that "I" lost a child on the camp grounds [which are very small by the way], but that wasnt my fualt, & the blame was placed on me, because none of my other co-counselors owned up.

Since then, they've said that I "always lose my kids" (which is totally untrue, swear! I dont know how one time turns into always) And I've heard them talk about me "negativly" a few times

I like this job, close to home, kids are nice, it pays REAL NICE, i'll do whatever it takes to keep it!

PS- last summer, i sprained my ankle bad on the grounds on some uneven gravel [aka, not my fualt] & i wasnt compinsated, yeah, they still payed my salary, but no med. bills, can i use that too?

Niece was a vicitim of a bully, police and school not really doing anything. Did find out that bully will be attending same school as my niece even though they don't live in this area. We'd like to obtain a "No Contact Order" in the state of Florida. Do we have to go through lawyer or can we petition the courts directly?

How can we get rid of English lager louts and their infantile primatism?
Panorama last night showed how beer and football have fused to create a subculture of degenerate yobs, who bring shame to football and to their countries. It's not just England that harbours these halfbreeds, Germany and Holland create them too, but the English seem to create a malevolent vitriol that exceeds any one else.

I partied with the Italians in Piccadilly, and they were wonderful company, I would think twice before entering an English crowd.

I believe that these people are empty-headed, dissatisfied, mis-educated and ignorant, as well as being utterly selfish.

So, what can our society do.

PS watch the answers carefully...they may indicate what we English have to put up with in terms of ignorance.
