Definitely. The most common area for a child to be in danger is online. There should be more strict laws on which sites children can get into and how you can't say anything bad on the internet where children can see. They should also make laws not to let adults or teenagers contact eachother unless they know eachother in real life. There should be rules to the internet so we can have a safer time online without dealing with pedafiles and people who are rude. Myspace, Xanga, and other blog sites NEED TO END. People are dieing being of these sites by careless information they put onto these blogs. People should be more strict about the internet so it can be a place to have fun and not get abused!!

No, there should be protections and parents should be able to monitor what their children are doing but most people use the Internet for fun and stoping people's fun is way not cool. People should have to follow the same laws they would anywhere else, so there needs to be laws but I'm not sure they need to be stronger or stricter.

No.
The internet is very possibly the last source of "free" information unbiased by the media of Big Business. As far as protection from children, my opinion is that parents need to spend more time with their children actually watching them and raising them.
Those who think the government needs to step in and control what their children view probably dont spend enough time with their kids in the first place.

the internet is our last bastion of free speech. We don't need restrictions on this. Establishing internet "laws" would be difficult to do in the first place, because of its global nature and the inability of that many governments to work together on...well, anything.
