A guy (who is a doctor) that we know offered to let us keep our $45,000 boat on his 6 acre property for 4 weeks while we moved. We took the key with us on purpose, and said no one was to drive the boat (it's too fast and someone would get hurt if they didn't know what they were doing). One weekend after we dropped it off, the owner of the home, and his friend hotwired the boat ran it aground and caused 20K worth of damage. They managed to put 20 hours on the boat. They two men are fighting amungst themselves saying the other one was the one that hotwired the boat. What could they be charged with? Would this constitute Grand Theft in the Frist Degree? How about Larceny? Does the fact that we were keeping it on their property make any difference since we took the key, and the fact that they hotwired it shows ill-intent?The men admit to hotwiring it, they are just pointing at each other as the one that did it

My neighbor lives across the alley and he drains his pool about every month, and the water goes across the alley into our backyard, and now our yard is flooded. Is there some sort of law to stop them from doing this? It also messes up the alley.

My son borrowed a laptop and when he opened it, it had 3 cd's sitting between the screen and keyboard. He removed them, used it and returned them to where they were before returning the laptop. His friend claims that the screen was damaged and is trying to say my son is responsible for replacing the laptop for $1,000. Who's liable?

I tapped a parked car in a parking lot and it put a pretty good dent in it. I left them my info saying I would be financially responsible and never heard from them. 2 weeks later I get a letter from the police saying I was involved in a hit and run and that criminal charges could take place. I called the detective taking care of the case and he said we would have to discuss this in person. What is going to happen? ANY HELP?

There is a woman I work with who was telling me that she had won a law-suit for an injury she received from someone hitting her car…that since her accident her left shoulder hurt and was difficult to move….A few weeks before her victory law suit she tells me that back when she lived in Nevada she got hurt at her home when she fell off a ladder and hurt her left shoulder. … Now 3 weeks ago she was involved in another incident where a dump truck moved over to her lane , she freaked out and put her car in a ditch, she said that she did not go to the hospital and her car was dented on the front bumper, now she saying she is unable to move her left shoulder….so now she is on a leave and is suing the company of the dump truck…only thing is last Saturday another coworker and I went to visit her to take her to lunch when we got there she had been painting a bedroom. Which made me question if she really is hurt or is just trying to get some insurance money.

A moneteray judgement was made in 1981 and the person who was to pay filed bankruptcy, so it went uncollected. Now this person was in the newspaper bragging about making a killing selling his business. Would the judgement have grown due to some type of interest written into the law.
It was a city/county district court case based on physical injury and responsibility for said injury.
Thanks

My father was in the Luftwaffe during World War II, in a non-combatant (support) position. He has seldom spoken about his experiences and the only picture I've seen of him in uniform is his wedding portrait. Now, he is 86 and dying of a heart condition. He recently turned over 2 suitcases of papers to me from his past, which I have not yet opened.

If I find evidence that he was, in fact, involved in Nazi war crimes, should I still turn him in? Would you?

say your boss is the tighest bloke ever, he never gives pay rise,
rips the radios out of the company vans so you dont have anything to listen to, dont supply heath and safetly stuff, shouts and screams at his employers in front of everyone, and now places trackers in the company vans.

i know your prob thinking that its his buiness, but people have left because of the abuse they get, and they are a bit pikey.

but i would like to know does anyone know the place like where people can just turn up and start checking the place over, get me?
like say if you rang the heath and safety officers and tipped them off about the place, would they do anything?

where would i find this info?
