Adultery and concubinage are breach of mutual respect which is obligatory in marriage. Adultery is on the part of the wife and Concubinage is on part of the husband. Adultery is proven when a woman engages in sexual intercourse with a man not her husband while concubinage is when a man keeps a mistress not her wife on the conjugal dwelling and have sexual intercourse with her in scandalous circumstances.

Because it is biased on the part of the man, (Adultery is easier to prove than concubinage) it was replaced by the term sexual infidelity to make things equal.it is when either engage or have plans of engaging sexual affairs with other persons.

Satisfied? Remember that adultery and concubinage in legal terms are for married people only as well as sexual infidelity. You may find definitions in the legal dictionary but relating its events need real people.

Adultery - Voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the lawful spouse.

Concubinage - Cohabitation without legal marriage.

Sexual Infidelity - sexual unfaithfullness to a sexual partner

Adultery only applies to marriage.

Concubinage is living together before marriage. Infedelity can only be committed to someone who is not married, but simpky in a sexual relationship.

Ok well... Bigamy is having more than one wife... It could be 2 or more, but you have to live in Utah for it to be legal... Adultery, and Infidelity are similar... You are married and you have sex with someone outside the bonds of marriage... They can be either single or married themselves, but if you are married, you have committed Adultery and you were experiencing Infidelity by commiting that sex act... Infidelity or Unfaithfulness is a voluntary failure to comply with commitment to monogamy... Concubinage refers to the state of a couple living together as lovers with no permanent obligation...

I sooo want to know the answer to this one. Sweet question. I have never even considered concubinage, but that sounds like a lot of fun.

None are against the law (in America at least) so I don't know that they would have a legal definition.
