Of course it's not ethical to steal.
Yes, I would spend money on something I can get for free if it's a reasonable price. When it comes to music and movies that have only gotten cheaper over the past 5 years, I have no problem forking over the little money it takes.
I don't think any of us have been complete saints on the subject, but there are many venues (such as iTunes and eBay) that take away the argument that music/movies are overpriced.

I think it is fine to download stuff for free. The celebrities are still making money off concerts and through the movie theaters. Celebrities have millions and they complain about stuff like downloading their stuff for free. It is so annoying!
