Thank you to the people who tried to help me with my situation of being harrashed by another employee, but to the ones that left remarks such as put a pencil to paper and mail it, I have to wonder what they are doing on a board like this. They seem to think harrashment at a work place is a laughful situation. What I was asking was what is the proper procedure in handling a situation of harrashment and any ideas in how to state them properly in a letter. The Assist. Man. has tried to help me and has filed complaints himself against this employee which is a women, but we have not been able to get any coperation from the head Manager of the resort park. I wouldn't be surprized if the corporate management ever even recieved the complaints that were given to the head manager. Thank you once again to the people that took their time to try and help me.

It depends on the company and who is doing the harassment.

I would suggest that you contact Human Resources. They do not like this kind of thing, it's bad for the company's image, so they will investigate.

If the harasser has a boss over him, and there is no Human Resource Department, then contact that boss.

If the harasser is just a fellow employee, and there is no Human Resource Department, then contact your boss.

If the harasser is the top boss of the company then you need to go outside of the company to a woman's group.
RINN: http://million.rainn.org/
The National Sexual Harassment Hotline: 1-800-656-HOPE.

In all cases it is best to Start with the Human Resources or a similar department. They have the power to fire or punish the harasser. Most major companies have a Sexual Harassment program just to handle these problem, so use it.

To actually write the letter make it a company memo.

To: Human Resources Department
From: You, your position in the company, and how to contact you.
Subject: Sexual Harassment by an employee

I am having problems with Person X. Their unwanted sexual advances are becoming a problem, making this a hostile workplace.
State the act(s) the time(s) they happened and list any witness, to the act, that you might have.

Words like; sexual harassment and hostile work place are "hot button" words that get attention and demand action.

Good Question. I usually use charcoal on cement to write an important letter; I hear some people use word processors though.

you go right to the higher up in the company and tell them what is taking place, and if that doesn't work threaten you'll take action on this with the labor board, and if that doesn't work seek a lawyer and they will help you on this matter, and good luck..... car....
