My brother has a pet crawfish that he got from school(he's had about a month or two), and now it has these egg-like things on it. They look DISGUSTING!!! I looked up an image, and I am sure they are eggs, but I just need info about how/when/if they are going to hatch, and how many, and what to do with them, and how she has eggs in a tank all by herself.... I just need info!!!

im sort of suspecting ick!
few days earlier, my fish were twitching and had clamped fins.
i cleaned the tank normally as i would.
this morning they were clamped.
i thought my fish are doing better then right now from the looks of their dorsal fin there are tiny white salt specks, but only on the fins, its not very visible but i thik i see them. is it ick for sure? and whats the best ttreatment?
and if its not ick and they are helthy is it still okay to use medication (just to be sure)? will they be harmed? i do not want my beloved fish to die!! will they die is there any chance??? pleasee hlepp`!

Well I seem to be swayed toward a 5 gallon Tank with a suitable heater and weak sponge filter for my one male Betta Fish...

I mean atleast 5 gallons if 2.5 is the minimum for 1 male Betta...

Can I put female betta fish with him without them mating?

Annything Else I can do t make him happy?

Any good filter-tank-heater combos you can think of?

Sky is the limit up to 80$ anyway....

He's been doing this for the last 3 days!
It's an established 80 ltr tank with a extra long airstone but no live plants. (Kept getting distroyed! The other fish all seem happy and acting normally. I have two Knife fish, 3 neon tetras, 2 large snails and a pair of small betas.
Over a week ago I had an alge bloom & did a partial water change, aged the new water and than cleaned my filter. The tank has been crystal clear for more than a week. Ammonia & PH levels are all fine. HELP! I really don't want to lose my Angel, he's a real character and very tame.

Ok some woman said that once i get my fish from point a to point b just put them into the water and dont leave them in the water they were transported in or the air that enters the bag or in this case home depot bucket will cause a chemical reaction to take place with the ammonia that builds up in the water over transport creating a real toxic situation for the fish that will kill them if they are left in for acclimation. Is this legit or can I open the buckets halfway through the move (16 hours) to allow fresh air in for my fish. Also im using their tank water so wont the amonia convert to nitrite? Please shed some light on this situation. BTW they are being packed 1 or 2 to a 5 gallon bucket with 2-2.5 gallons of water and the rest air with two bag buddies per (1 per gallon) container. These are salt water fish and the biggest is a shark at 9 inches. Ask me for more details thanks.

Me and my wife were debating weather or not clams were alive when you buy them at the store or not. She said that they were alive, and I thought that they were already dead. Does anyone know?

Well I have 1 male Betta fish and I keep him in a pretty good sized Goldfish bowl by himself

I feed him those little ball pellet thingies...

The bowl has marbles for the bottom and one plastick grass looking thingie in the middle...

He seemed happy in the beggining but after I added the fake grass that is about 2 inches to the top of the bowl all he does is casualy lay in it...

He seems fine but very lazy only geeting up to swim around and poop and eat...

I have about a 80$ budget to spend on him and I want to get him a better environment....

What recomendations do you have?

What size tank?

What kind of gravel or marbles or what not for the bottom of the tank?

What kind of heater and filter if i need them?

what kind of grass or shells or plastic castles or what not should i put in there?

Also what should I do about his food?

How do i keep a larger tank clean?

I basically need 100% instructions on making my betta happy
with 80$ bucks to spend...

What fish to include, a checklist of what equipment/kit I'll be needing, etc. I think I like neon tetras and a couple of bottom-dwelling fish(not plecos), suggestions?

Whenever I come near the tank too fast or I open the lid too fast my fish get scared, it seems like. And then they'll all just go in the corner like huddle and stay there for like 10 mins & their fins start moving reallyy fast. It scares me cause I'm afraid they might die.

Earlier this morning I went to feed my fish and I must've tapped the tank & one of my fish literally freaked out and started swimming really fast & swimming in circles, I thought it was going to die. When I had them in their other tank which was a 3 ga I think, I now have a 10..they were completely fine with water changes.

I'm just scared they're going to die. I've had them for a couple months or so. And I got the tank at the beginning of May, maybe. It might've been the last week in April or something. But I haven't had it long.

I'm just hoping that they're still adjusting to their tank. I don't know.

If anyone else has experienced something like this, let me know! Cause I'm afraid my fish are going to die!

Change half the bowl water weekely. Add 1 capful (5 ml) of Betta Bowl Essential to a quart (or 1 liter) of temperature adjusted tap or purified water. Use for water changes or to replace for evaporization. I think I'm not understanding what its meaning is in English... Thanks very much...!!! :-D

All five of my tetras have black markings on them, these were not here the other day. There are 2 glowlights, 2 bloodfins, and one well I'm not sure what it is (was in the wrong tank I guess) but it is a tetra. They are acting fine otherwise and my other fish don't have these marks/patches. Any clue?

I bought a juvenile freshwater angelfish (a little smaller than a quarter) and I'm trying to tell if it's a Marble with not too many spots, or a Koi. Does the marble have the reddish tinge to the gills? Mine does. Are there any other identifying characteristics? Thanks!

I have 3 silver dollar fish and 1 plecko. Tank is in bright room, but NOT in direct sunlight. I changed the filter, but it doesn't help. Is it algae? Pet store suggested covering tank with a blanket until it is clear....
Is that crazy?

I know, I know. Everybody's opinions are going to be different, but I want to know what everybody's opinion on this would be. What is the best miscellaneous freshwater creature for an aquarium? I'm talking about crabs, shrimp, frogs, snails, etc.

I have a 55 gallon and was just looking at something compatible with my neons, zebras, betta, and dwarf gourami.

What's your opinion?
