You can, but don't expect the fry to do very well without at least an air pump and daily large water changes. You really need a small tank with a heater and sponge filter for them.

What type of eggs are you talking about? My guess would be some breeds you could, but some may require higher temps, and/or better water quality to maintain. By no means will this be a long term solution for your fry. I'd go to your local store and get a small ten gallon tank, set up as a nursery. Take some of your gravel from your current tank, put it in a fine mesh bag or sock and float that in the new tank to speed up the cycle time also so the water chemistry of your new tank does not kill off your fry.

That guy which you talked to on the backyard shop replaced into spot-on. He probable confirmed you a 10 gallon tank, in all probability a 20 gallon. Goldfish are THE WORST newbie fish; they are messy, get extensive and require a lot of upkeep. I would desire to comprehend, I even have a posh goldfish who's pushing 10" and is in a 30 gallon tank via himself with a clear out rated for a a hundred gallon tank. And to tell you the actuality, the clear out can hardly ever shop up with him. I nevertheless do super water adjustments two times a week. And to respond to your question, confident, goldfish pick a huge filtered tank. A) because of fact they get very super. No bowl is going to assist a 10" goldfish B) they are messy, produce a lot of waste and without a stable clear out to assist that waste the goldfish will die of ammonia poisoning. while you're nevertheless interested in getting a fish, attempt a betta, you may get a 5 gallon with a clear out and heater.

YES -- these are goldfish eggs??? Use a GENTLE bubbling action and try to keep the inside walls of the tank clean every so often without squishing the babies - lots of scuzzy slime will eventually accumulate there and when I was raising fry, the slime would get to be too much and would kill them
