Fish - April 2007

They are curling up in a corner and basically looking dead... How can i help them out? I have no stress coat.

I KNOW its cruel to keep them in a small little tank. I have a 2 gallon tank. Do I fill it all the way to the top? or do they like their water shallow? I have a lamp and a heater. Do I need a filter to keep it clean?? Can I put a snail in there? What are Betta's rights? :)thanks

I have a bottle of sera costapur ichtyophthirius multifiliis and other parasites treatment and lost the paper work that gives dose amounts, I'm treating a 20gallon tank. I also have a bottle of API liquid super ick cure with dose amounts but the sera seems to be the better choice. If anyone knows the proper does amounts for this specific med that would be great. Please only answer if you know what your talking about, the stages of ick are really early and only on one fish. Aquarium salt is always present in my water, this disease is from new fish I didnt quarantine from pet store ( I know I'm an idiot!)

Hi! well I want to get a 50 gal to replace the 10 gal in my bedroom....or do you think that is should put the 25 gal from the living room in my bedroom and put the 50 in the l room....but then what should I do with the 10?? heyy im a open book tell me some facts about these fish and requierments eg. wat size tank, howmany per gallon tank, wat is price ranges , how can u tell wen there ready to spawn, how do u no the diffrence between genders(notin discusting)lol OHand about ow many INCHES do they get,last but not least wen the fry are born were do i put them in a sperate tank?

the tank is cloudy and u can hardly se the fish do i change all the water or just a certain amount and can i leave the fish in the water whilst i am doing this

That's what I've got. It came with my used aquarium. I haven't seen any in the pet stores and wonder what to do when I need new media. Is this a good filter? It doesn't say what size, just has the name and the # 2 on it.

The filter is an in tank Whisper MICRO FILTER. I have it all set up and turned on and it's ready for my new Betta.

Problem is: I got a small SHOCK when I tested the water temperature with my finger. Is this ok for the fish or is it going to ZAP him into oblivion! I don't want to kill my new fish by putting him in a tank that has static. What is causing this? Can I remedy it? Is the filter bad?

Ok, I really am ignorant on this one but, no dumb answers please!

i have 2 48" flourecent lights, wet dry filter that cycles the tank 15 times an hour, im doing 10% water changes every two weeks, water temp is at 80. what am i doing wrong? i just ordered a bottle of purple up, will that help?

am i feeding my red crabs right.
I have been giving them packet blood worm but today bought some crab pellets designed for all crustation shelled crabs. i popped them in the tank, they walded over to them, had a small munch and a fiddle then walked off.

Does this mean they dont like them, or are they just waiting til they are hungry.

i feed them ( 3 small red crabs) blood worm every 36hrs. am i doing it right or have i just fussy red crabs.

I have 2 red ear sliders and 10 rosy red minnows.

I bought the rosy reds as feeder fish for the turtles last night but the turtles have not ate them nor gone after them much at all. This is the first time that i have fed them feeders. I find it very strange that they have not ate them. Maybe its because they never had them before.

Today I bought some "nutrafin goldfish flakes" food for the rosy reds incase the turtles dont eat them at all, and the rosy reds continue to live.

I was just wondernig, is it ok for the turtles to eat that fish food?

and Since they have not ate the feeders...i fed them their regluar pellet food again.

I have a couple snails and I was wondering if you really need to give them a Calcium Supplements. I see a lot of liquid Calcuim that you add to the tank. Does this hurt the fish and frogs that are in the my tank? Right now all i have been feeding them is algae waffers that are made bye Hikari which they seem to like and so do my frogs and fish.
