its a dalmation molly and i've only had it a while. oh and can a gold fish live in the same tank with an african dwarf frog (you know; the kind that stay in the water)?

He can't live with a goldfish. He or she needs to be with more of his own kind.

Look at the anal fin of the fish if it is fan shaped it is a female. If it is thick and looks a little like arrow that is a male. Dwarf African Frog like warmer tanks than goldfish do. So I would keep them in different tanks. Their dietary needs are also a little different as well.

I don't know much about mollies, but for some fish, the female tends to be a little but plumper, and sometimes, bigger, than a male, but if you only have one, it could be hard to tell without something to compare it by.

I would think it would be fine as long as the frog wasn't small enough to be eaten by the goldfish.

on a female the anal fin will be triangular while on a male it will be a hollow tube.
my goldfish ate my dwarf frog

Look up gonopodium. It's the males organ.

take it to the vet...vets know the deffrence.
