My red tailed shark has ick and we have moved him to a sick tank. We are treating him but he is not eating. Could he die? and if so how long does he have if he is not eating.

Had it for almost 2 years, it was sick for a while, now it just lays on the bottom and only flitters about when it thinks a meal is coming.
It eats a few bites, then lays on the bottom again.
Is it just lazy, or old or what?

Ok, heres the deal.
I own 2 swordtail, one male one female(I have two females but one got a cut somehow and developed a baterial infection)
They are in a ten gallon tank
I am going to get a 55 gallon, but I dont have enoguh money right now nad the are growing quickly
So heres the plan, tell me if its ok
Get a somewhat large rubbermaid, Add a few plastic plants. Have sand as substrate(pool sand, yes I know this is ok in aquariums dont tell me otherwise) Put on a filter for a large tank. Cut a hole in the cover for the filter. Cycle it and put the fish in until the large tnak is ready
Is this okay?

How many freeze dried bloodworms per day are ok for one betta?
How much brine shrimp?
How many pellets?
What to do with bettas, who refuse to eat pellets - or plain anything else but brine shrimp?

My fish seem healthy and swim out a lot very active (by the way they are three tiger barbs and three otos in a 10g tank) I had to turn the lights off because my fish won't eat or swim around with it on. The fish with the faded color are my tiger barbs I'm going to buy plants that will go over the top of the water so they will feel more secure but is there any other reason maybe the lights are wrong I need help plz!

I have two pregnant golddust mollies which i have separated from the rest of the fish in a 10 gallon tank, along with swordtail fry. Both of these fish are very pregnant, but I noticed they have begun to act kind of weird. They stay still and sort of wag their bodies side to side, but don't move anywhere. Also, I've noticed one of them swimming to the plants real fast and hitting them, looking almost as if she has an itch she is trying to scratch. I'm not sure if/what is wrong, but the fry seem fine so I figured there wasn't anything wrong with the water. What do you think?

I have a well cycled 10 gallon tank with a heater (water stays between 78-80 F), filter ( for 15 gallons), airbubbler, 1 log hideout, 1 cave hideout, natural colored gravel, and 3 silk plants. Currently the male betta in there died of old age :( Would these all be ok together? Listed are also the lenghts I found that they grow to be, please correct me if I am wrong.

-3 Panda cory (Corydoras panda) 2" each
-1 male betta OR 2 female platies
- 2 female pine apple swordtails ( 2")

I was also wondering how big zebra plecos grow to be
1 Zebra pleco (Hypancistrus zebra) 3.5" this is what I was told, if so I will instead do one of them and 3 dwarf gouramis (2").

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I have a fairly new tank and bought some tiger barbs and tetras. I know people who have these fish, and I know that they're not particularly known for being "bottom swimmers". But my fish won't leave the bottom portion of the tank even for food! Could this be normal? I've also noticed that when the light is off in the tank, they move about more freely. Could the light have something to do with it???

I had a goby living in my tank for a while and added a new one in about a month ago, not long after she got a fat belly and has been getting ever-so-slightly fatter ever since. here's a pic of her.

If she is pregnant, what should I do with her, and does she need to be separated from the main tank?
