It may not eat anything for a little while. All fish need time to adjust to new living conditions, and that's probably what its doing. My dojo does the exact same thing yours does (lay around at the bottom of the tank) and I've had him for 2 years now.

Dojo loaches can detect changes in barometric pressure, and will swim around wildly just before a storm.. which is where they get their name. Remember, loaches are nocturnal fish, so you probably won't see much activity during the day, no matter the weather conditions.

give this loach some time to adjust by the way these are some really cool fish but becareful they do jump out if he doesnt do better within a week get him a friend these fish usually stay on the bottom of ur tank they are pretty much algae eaters also and sometimes they do come to the top when you put in food other than that give him some time to adjut by the way make sure you acclimate these fish by that i mean when you bring them home in baggies open them baggies and let them float in the water which will adjust his water tempeture not to quickly

Weather loaches are cold water tropical fish and do well with goldfish (and pretty well with freshwater tropicals).
They are called weather loaches because they react to changes in climates. When you brought it home from the store it had to adjust to new surrounding. At first it might hide until it becomes used to its new home. They are bottom dwellers and bottom feeders. Make sure to feed it food that drops down to the bottom. Loaches sometimes dig under the greavel. Eventually it will even come to the top to eat.

I still don't think you have anything to worry about. It can take several days for some fish to settle down and start eating after you get them home. Give him a few more days before you start to worry.
