I have a well cycled 10 gallon tank with a heater (water stays between 78-80 F), filter ( for 15 gallons), airbubbler, 1 log hideout, 1 cave hideout, natural colored gravel, and 3 silk plants. Currently the male betta in there died of old age :( Would these all be ok together? Listed are also the lenghts I found that they grow to be, please correct me if I am wrong.

-3 Panda cory (Corydoras panda) 2" each
-1 male betta OR 2 female platies
- 2 female pine apple swordtails ( 2")

I was also wondering how big zebra plecos grow to be
1 Zebra pleco (Hypancistrus zebra) 3.5" this is what I was told, if so I will instead do one of them and 3 dwarf gouramis (2").

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

The platys, corys, swordtails and gouramis will all work well together. I have all those in my 29 gallon. Dont be fooled by the plecos though. Most will grow larger than people expect. My uncle had one we had to pick up with two hands. It was 17" long and bigger around than your 2 hands touching finger to finger and thumb to thumb. Most of them however take years and years to get to this size. I have danios also which are nice top swimmers. I also have a few killifish. They come in different colors but are kind of hard to find in your everyday pet store. They are hunters too so dont put in any guppies or they become lunch. Pictus catfish are fun to watch. They are very friendly and if kept well fed are very active. What you described above should do just fine, keep in mind the old rule of 2" of fish to every gallon of water. Thats adult size not the size they are now. And get some more tall plants. Platys like to hide.

i might want to pass with. 2 Gouramis (Dwarf, Gold, Blue) 5-6 Tiger Barbs (fin nippers, education fish) 5-6 Zebra Danios (education fish) 5-6 Minor Tetra (might want to be fin nippers, education fish) 4-5 Black Skirt Tetra (education fish) 2-3 Algae Eaters 2 Cory Cats Pictus Catfish no longer all of those fish can slot in a 29 gallon tank, yet those are some basic-intermediate fish to think about. sturdy success!

Hey I think it is cool to put all different plants together and tie them together with a bread tie and use a suction thing that holds your thermometer you know what I mean and put them in that and stick them on the sides and top of the tank. It is so cool the fish love it.

Info I found for zebra pleco was up to 3"-3.5" max. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?siteid=21&pCatId=1136

So either grouping should work (I kinda like the second one though - sounds nice with plants & cave - maybe some driftwood too?)!

Just some ideas of decroations. You could put spongebob characters on the bottom of the tank. I use them in my fish tank.
they cost about $3.00

I'm not sure about the beta being in there. Go to a pet store and ask someone there, they'll know.
