I hate to tell you this but it doesn't sound good at all for your betta. Usually once one gets to this point there really isn't anything you can do to help it. Sorry about that.
I doubt it's too warm as bettas can live at temperatures over 100.
The fact that it won't eat is usually a give away that the fish is very ill. if you don't see any signs of disease it most likely has an internal infection and there was very little if anything you could have done in the first place.

usually when a Betta becomes less active it is either because he is getting sick or he is in need of a water change.
One thing we do when our Betta's seem to be dropping in activity is to change the water and add non-iodized salt at the rate of 1 tablespoon for each gallon of water. This treatment is enough to stave off 2 of the more common Betta diseases Ich and Velvet.
If you Betta is housed in a vase or jar or any container that is not filtered you should do water changes every 3 days. The smaller the container the more often you will need to do water changes.
As far as the not eating. We have many males that routinely pass on evening meals when feed only to eat it a few hours later from the bottom of their container. I would start to watch the Betta for signs of sickness, change the water, add the salt and offer food again later, an hour or so after the water change.
Good luck

Betta are tropical fish. they choose a 5 gallon area (to themselves, simply by fact an outstanding sort of different fish or frogs will harm their fins), an under gravel filter out (simply by fact they don't in basic terms like the present of their water), a heater (water might desire to be around seventy 8 levels in any respect cases), a thermometer ( to substantiate the temp. is powerful, of course), gravel or glass stones (ideally glass stones simply by fact they're smoother), a tank hood with a easy (they choose 12 hours of the easy consistent with day) silk or genuine flowers (simply by fact those plastic ones that are available in all kinds of colorings can shrink up their fins), and a small cave (one that doesn't have any variety of tiny ares they are able to get their fins caught). they might desire to be fed betta pellets (3-5 consistent with day) for 5 days (could be swapped with blood worms at some point), 0.5 a shelled pea the 6th day, and not something on the seventh day so as that they are able to digest wisely.

Is the water too warm? One of my betas died over a week ago because my heater was on the fritz and kept the water at a much higher temperature than it should have been. Your fish could also be sick. Study the fish for unusual spots and colors. If something seems to be a concern, contact your local pet store.
Giving your local pet store a call either way wouldn't hurt. They could always give you suggestions on what to do.

He's fine. Mine just kind of hangs out in his little plant sometimes and won't move even if I tap the tank. If you're still worried, try changing part of his water to make sure there is enough oxygen in your fish's environment. You could also try getting his interest with a mirror. Mine usually goes nuts when he sees his reflection, no matter what he's doing before that.

betas act really strange. i almost flushed mine cuz i thought it was dead, and it came to life before i poured him in the toilet.
it could be many things...it could just be old, or sick. i had a sick one that died after 2 weeks of having it. but i would just give it some time. dont keep putting food in there because it will dirty the water. if you want to try to keep feeding it, drop one piece in, and see what happens. ive had my beta now for over a year and he's fine and healthy. change the water and that might help too.

I had that problem with my betta and he died not soon afterwards. But who knows, bettas can be weird sometime. It may just be sleeping or hangin out.
If you start to get really worrired about it, call a pet store and see what they say.

hmm i agree with the water change. he may be ok but it sounds like he probably is in a bad way. There is not going to be a lot else you are going to be able to do. if he has stopped eating altogether he is probably near death. sorry and i hope i am completely wrong.

have you changed his water recently? i can usually get my bettas to eat frozen blood worms even when they don't eat anything else. maybe you could try that. a lot of times they just get bored. you could get him a bigger bowl or a plant or something. good luck.
