I will be traveling to the Keys for a week and will be staying in Islamorada. Anyone know of a good dog boarder in the keys, I prefer a cageless facility. He is a big 85 pound golden retriever who is a sweetheart and well behaved.

We have a Weimaraner who is a little over a year old. She is extremely high-strung. My husband is an over-the-road truck driver and she goes with him on the truck. She does pretty well there, but is a holy terror when she comes home. Will she settle down with age? Please don't suggest professional training as my husband is only home about 4 days a month.

My dog Jenny has a little problem. Every so often, even though she is walked regularly and is fully house-trained, pee falls out of her. For example, just a moment ago she was eating out of her food bowl and all of a sudden I heard a splash. Urine just "fell out of her." She absolutely did not stop to squat and urinate but instead looked as upset and astonished as I was. Could anyone tell me why this is happening? Should I be concerned? It obviously makes Jenny upset and is quite a nuisance as it happens regularly.

its a medium sized dog, and it's teeth are extremely clean ad its young, not very young but not an adult maybe just a grown up big puppy if that makes sense.it cant go inside, and it seems really clean like it has been taken care of, it has a flee color on it too. but i think i might end up taking care of it, it is well behaved and seems very young. i dont want to take it to the vet yet, but if i have some flea and heartworm medicine should i go ahead and give it to the dog? or would i have to take it to the vet first? im not sure if my parents would approve of keeping it, because vet visits do cost alot. but i feel for this animal because i love all animals and i cant just ignore it. please provide me with good reasonable answers, thank you. :]

I got my puppy, Squishy, several weeks ago. She's my first dog. She only seems to bite me and not friends and strangers. She licks everyone else, even people she's never met. She never seems very happy to see me, and she chews on my hands and clothing. I say "no" firmly and give her a toy to chew on, but she doesn't seem to respect me very much. Does she not like me? Why would she be so loving with other people and not me? Any tips?

I have a three year old lad/border collie mix that was obviously abused before I got her. The other day, she wondered in to my bathroom. I forgot to close the top lid, and she began drinking out of the blue that I had just treated with blue chemicals. I walk into the bathroom, snap my fingers and point to the door. I uttered no other sound nor did I make any other movement, just snapped and pointed. She hunkered down, belly to floor, tail so far between her legs, the tip was actually positioned directly under her snout. As soon as she got to the doorway, she rose up just a little, and scurried into the living room. I closed the door to the bathroom, went into the kitchen and grabbed a soda, then walked into the living room. Upon seeing me, she immediately began to whimper. I said "Easy girl, it's okay", and went over to her. The closer I got, the louder the whimpering became, then she started to urniate and snap at me. All the while, I spoke softly and moved slowly, to no avail.

Sweetie (f) is possessive, territorial, demanding, aggressive, and just likes to stay close to me and stare into my eyes.

Bos (m) is cool and calm, not overbearing, can't/won't look me in the eyes more than 1 second, turns his head, but he's also very cuddly and likes to be near me, but isn't all over me like Sweetie, who lives to lick.
Is there a pattern of male/female dog behavior?
