I have a disabled chihuahua who is about eleven months old.
When I first got him he was the sweetest loveliest little puppy and everyone adored him.
Because of his disability he has been receiving special attention from the whole family: everything is done for him he is cuddled and kissed constantly, he eats special home cooked meals and even has his own room, toys etc.
And now he has finally become spoiled and mean! (no surprise there)
All he does is snap and growl when you do something he doesn't particularly like. If you pick him up when he would rather walk or if you move him around on your lap its almost definite that you will receive a nip or a growl.
I have no idea how to stop this, I would usually send a normal dog with his behavior right outside and verbally reprimand them - even a small smack on the but BUT he is just so delicate and small. I am absolutely sick of his bratty nature and I want him to stop.
Any ideas on how I can teach him to quit the bighting?

as far as I know some football player was charged with running dog fights in his back yard or something and people are going ******* bonkers!!! people want him dead for causing the dogs sooooo much pain and of course everybody forgets about the countless other countrys who kill and even eat dogs and other animals just because its fun also what about all of the hunters shooting deer all the time? they dont eat the damn thing so why are they shooting them? but nobody complains about them.

and finaly of course people have to bring race into the situation because the football player happen to be black. people start claiming that all black people like to watch dog fights and so on. but thoese same people get mad at us when we said OJ was not guilty ( AND GUESS WHAT HE STILL DIDNT DO IT) and say that we like to pull the race card for everything I guess what im trying to say is that why are people tratring him like so serial killer THEY ARE JUST DOGS THERE NOT PEOPLE HES MAKING FIGHT

Does any one know if yahoo reports suspected animal neglect/abuse to the relevant agenceys eg: RSPCA ??? AND IF NOT WHY NOT????

I replyed to a post last night after looking at links which had been put up regarding other posts by this person which I found quiet distressing, yet tonight the question has been removed, but will anyone be reporting this sad person? Or will this so called “dog lover” just be allowed to carry on regardless?

S My Doxie won't stay asleep?
My 10 month old pup used to sleep in the bed with me. My boyfriend moved in with me 3 months ago and we have started to ween him to his own bed. He sleeps in it but every morning at 5 am he wants to come in and play. If we lock him out he will sit at the door and whine. The past few mornings for an hour straight. How can I fix this. If I open the door he jumps all over and hits you with his ball indicating for us to throw it. My boyfriend says just ignore him and he will learn this is not a way to get attention and he'll eventually stop. Does that sound right?

My boyfriends parents just got this new puppy. It is about 12 weeks old now. This is the most spoiled dog ever. He sleeps on the pillow in their bed at the top with them, they give him scraps of food in his bowl with his food in addition from the scraps them give him in a plate! They leave for work at 9am and don't get back untill 6 so they leave him in the kitchen to poddy train him with the puppy pads. I think they should put him in the kennel they bought and don't use because he poops and pees all over the kitchen. I don't want to go up and be like your raising your dog the wrong way, but they won't punish him. How do I kinda tell them to use other methods for their dog without taking over??? hhelp!

She is four years old and has just gotten into it. She has another dog in the backyard with her and lots of toys to play with. I know bassetts are inclined to dig by nature, but is there any way to get her to stop? My parents love their dog like another child, but they're talking about getting rid of her because she keeps tunnelling under the fence and getting out. Help!

please read this and tell me if your mind has changed at all?

Good thing Gaston County, North Carolina doesn't have a ban on pit bulls, or this man wouldn't be alive this morning.

Steve Carpacca, 41, was asleep in his mobile home at 3:15am when his pit bull ran into the bedroom and started barking frantically.

The man awoke to a room filled with smoke and immediately ran outside. When he realized that his dog had not followed him, he rushed back into the blazing trailer, armed with two 5-pound fire extinguishers, but the fire was already out of control.

Four fire departments responded to the call, and it took a total of 15 firefighters to douse the flames. The dog never made it out; fire crews found the little hero's body in the hall just outside Mr. Carpacca's bedroom.

Mr. Carpacca was devastated at the loss of his dog.

"The dog saved his life, absolutely," said Chief Dicky Harris with the Community Volunteer Fire Department. "If the dog hadn't been in the house, [Mr. Carpacca] would have been overcome by smoke."

It is believed that the fire was caused by an electric heater in the kitchen. Mr. Carpacca never heard any of the smoke detectors sound.

Samson is my 10 year old chocolate lab, who is in great shape. He was at the beack on Sunday playing for three hours (which is not unusual) He was with our neighbors and their three kids and their chocolate lab who is 1. There was nothing unusual and he walked home normally. The next morning he was lame, putting no weight on his back right leg, but did not appear in any pain - there was no crying, he was not senstitive to touch, so we thought we would give him the day. The next day he was OK, putting weight on it and moving more normally. Today, he woke up and was lame again. He then seemed to be moving around better...but is now lame again. I have made an appointment for tomorrow, but any advice or thoughts in advance would be helpful. What can I expect? I am beside myself - he is my best friend and I cant stand to see him this way :-( PLEASE HELP!

I have a little bit of a flea problem, I have been spraying down my carpets and furniture with antiflea stuff and I am getting ready to wash my dog and sheets. Do I need to get more than just tide and bleach to get rid of everything on them... (My dog is spoiled and I let him sleep in my bed.)

I do. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I have always given my dogs table scraps and they have all lived long healthy lives.
