Two days ago on the news, I heard that one of Michael Vicks, co-conspirators, I think his last name is Taylor, has turned against Michael Vick and is helping the Feds., build a case against him. Taylor picked out the location for the dog fights and killed two of the dogs, one by shooting it and the other by electrocution. So for all of you other sadistic Vick supporters out there, what do you think of your precious little moron now, that one of his own have turned against him, and is helping the Feds put the low-life away? You and everyone else, know he is guilty of torchuring and killing these poor, innocent, helpless dogs.

I am having the hardest time with my dogs right now. As you can see from the photo I have a labpointer and a boston terrier.

I keep my trash in the base cabinet our lab figured out how to get into it so we put on child safety locks, he figured those out so we put a chair in front of the door, he figured out how to move the chair open the safety lock and get into the trash. Now his tummy is unsettled from eating the icky stuff in the trash and I wake up to poo on my floors every morning.. If you calmly tell him no about anything, he pees all over the place. He sheds fur so much I feel I cannot keep ontop of cleaning it, my house never feels clean to me. I have a Boston terrier that I cannot keep off of my couch, now my couch smells like DOG! I just noticed this morning that my boston terrier dug 2 holes in my fave 400 tc sheets....I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first child and I don't know if I can continue to keep up with all of this from the dogs along with a baby.... HELP!

Hi, i have two lop eared rabbits, - they are about 2 years old, and full grown - ie. quite big. I have recently bought a puppy, a 14 week old golden retriever, and he is quite outgoing. We leave the rabbits outside in the garden most of the time, so they can have fun and exercise...but when we let our dog out he ends up chasing and barking at the rabbits. Now the rabbits have kinda got used to it, and dont sprint off anymore, they kinda jog at a slower pace, and we grab hold of the puppy and say "no". Is there any way of making them friends??

or making the puppy 'fond' or protective of the rabbits,(as there is a black labrador next door - who jumps over sometimes...) Ok! Thankss........x x x

hi i'm having some issues with my 11 week old puggle. hes really sweet when were together but once we're apart hes a terror. he howls, whines, and hates being alone. i never let him out of the crate until he is quiet. he always has to be placed in the crate, he won't go in for any treat, food, nothing will get him to even stick his nose in. also he pees in his crate, sometimes immediately. i walk him seven times a day, his food and water is restricted. everytime he walks he goes pee but if i put him in the crate after he always pees. i know he can only hold his bladder for so long but even if he pees outside if i leave the apt for five minutes, he pees again. his crate is sectioned off so its not too large for him, its covered, cool, i play classical music, he has a kong chewing toy with treats shoved in it. ive tried blankets but he just pees on them. i don't know what else to do. i've researched and am at wits end. also he never poos in the crate. nothing so far has helped. help!!!!

She only humps people, never other animals or toys. Also, before she does it, she starts licking like crazy. She is not "fixed."

Since I eat only fruits a veggies, and white breast chicken meat rice and a couple pastas, my dog eats what I eat, but, I do keep dog treats for her. However, I have have eaten a few of them, and to tell you the truth they are pretty good. But, my question, which ones are safe for humans? Both Gracie and I eat pupperoni, Milkbones, Beggin Strips, Doggey Jerky, and Rawhide bones(Not the flakey ones) but, what ones do you not suggest for both of us?

After receiving the shot she showed signs that the injection site was bothering her (yipping if it was touched, scratching at the area) and now, about 6 hours later she seems ill. She is lethargic and has an accelerated heart rate. She seemed somewhat depressed before receiving the shot - having no other dogs in close contact and with my two small children in the house. I brought another small dog in for company and she seemed to be fine.
I'm concerned that this may be a negative side effect from either the rabies vaccination or the 7-in-one shot that she received. As two of her litter mates died (one a week ago with parvo like symptoms, the other at 4 weeks of age) I am greatly concerned that there may be a problem with the litter.
Any suggestions as to the cause of her behavior would be greatly appreciated as would suggestions as how to treat her at home (there is no emergency vet in my area).

P.S. Do pups with parvo tend to stay away from water or drink more?

I'm really considering adding an Akita puppy to my family. I've been reading books and articles on them, and almost all say they are aggressive towards other dogs unless raised with them. Does this mean that even with a great deal of socialization, it will always be on the aggressive side? I have two GSDs and we make weekly trips to the dog park, would that be enough to stop aggression or is it an inherent trait you can't do anything about?

With Akitas and kids, I've been reading a lot of contradictions. Some books/articles say they are excellent with children, others say they aren't recommended for kids. I don't know which to believe. I know my husband and I will have kids eventually, and I have two young brothers and nieces and nephews. I will not tolerate children treating any of my dogs poorly, but I also need to feel safe with the dog and kids. If anyone who knows a lot about the breed could share their experience with me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

My mom doesnt like dogs but we had one anyway. She doesnt even touch him when we had him for just a year. And today we just gave him away and now my mom is like crying. She doesnt show any affection for our dog when he had him and now shes crying and asking me what do you think he is feeling right now with his new owner? I dont get this she even hated having him and now shes crying for him? Does anybody know why she is acting this way? Because i dont want to see my mom crying everyday and asking me how he is, it would get very annoying cuz i dont want to think about him either. thanks for any help!

She is 9 years old and since we got her she hates other people touching her paws, I know her very well and i know there is nothing wrong with her paws, she just doesn't like me to touch them.... even though she doesn't act "mean" or anything but when i touched them she tries to hide them with her body (like I won't know where they are lol)... anyways it seems kind of weird to me...

My dog is a 4-year-old, male, un-neutered, Jack Russell Mix. He doesn't like my 1-year-old son. Is there anything I can do make him like him? He hasn't bitten or anything, he just growls at him. I've been trying to find him a new home with no luck yet. If there is anything I can do to make it work, I'll do it. Any professional advice for me, besides the obvious? (Get rid of him)

A friend is worried that since his dog just gave birth to a mixed litter it might be tainted. He would like to breed her with another full bred of her species but isnt sure that the future litters would be eligable for registry because of the mixed litter. What are the rules regarding breeding with non-breed dogs and the future litters? Is just the litter with the other dog tainted or are all future litters tainted as well?

My sisters chiwawa climbed under her bed and eat about five pieces of excel gum (the wax paper kind), so as you can imagine i was worried about what might happen to the dog. so i got out the yellow pages, and decided id try poison control in montreal canada. Well, i explained to the guy what happened, and he actually got mad at me for calling poison control and told me its only for human related problems. when i asked him if he could refer me to a vet emergency number, he told me it wasn't his job to do that, then he hung up.......

i have to say i'm very ticked off by this, cause he couldn't care less about the dog. what do you guys think i should do about this, the guy wouldn't even refer me to get help. I'm sure your thinking "maybe you should have looked up a vet number first?" and i suppose i could have, but its not what happen.

so any advice? its ridiculous that a help center denies you any sort of aid, even a vets number.

My Girlfriend's ex-boyfriend has her dog. She has been trying to get the dog back since they had broke up. (about 2 years they've been broken up) She has the registration from the store for the dog in her name but he isn't registered with the county and the GPS for the dog is registered under her name. The only thing that is under her ex's name is the vet. She went to his house to try to get the dog and even offered up to $1000 for the dog back. He declined. My gf bought the dog as a puppy and we could even track the statements to prove it. He didn't even want her to see the dog and if it wasn't for his (now) wife to be there my girlfriend wouldn't even of got to pet the dog. Once she did pet the dog though she started to cry which made me feel bad for her, which brought me to writing this forum. Is there any cheap way of getting the dog back legally? Well Thank You for reading and I hope for a response!
