Yes they can. Sadly, it was probably already too late by the time he started throwing them up because they had probably done damage already. You should consult with a vet to determine if there are warning signs earlier on. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sounds like he had some internal problems. Some dogs have worms in their intestine and stomach that eat up all their food and can cause them to be under nurished. Im sure if it was serious enough, that there was a great number of worms, that could have caused its death. He might also had heart worm as well which is very deadly for dogs. Im sorry that you lost your puppy. If you get another dog, make sure that you have him get his shots and checked for worms.

I'm really sorry about your pup. I bet you are really hurting right now. but I have some questions for you about it, okay?
where did you get that pup? pet store, or responsible breeder?
you bought a very, very sick dog. were you advised to take it to the vet in the first week for a complete exam, and did you do this? did you take him back when he started to vomit worms? I can tell you that is not normal behaviour for a puppy.
if you got the pup from a pet store, take it back there, and make a lot of noise about them selling you an inferior, ill dog. be very loud about how the pup was vomiting worms. you want to drive all their potential customers out of there. don't let them bully you, and don't back down until you have a full refund.
if you bought the dog from a breeder, you should proabably also take it back, but be more reasonalbe about it. ask how the rest of the litter is, and could you possibly have another pup? there may be a fee invloved, or not,
good luck getting a new pup, and NEVER buy from a pet store.

Most certainly worms can and do cause the death of a puppy. All puppies are born with worms. It is an absolute must that you de-worm puppies. Please do not get any more puppies until you educate yourself on the care and responsibility of a puppy.Love is not enough. Your pup could possibly still be alive today if only you had taken care of him. Please do not do this to another puppy. They deserve to be with people who are going to nurture them and protect them, and care for them.

Yes worms can easily kill an animal because it is getting all the nutrients from the food that the puppy is eating instead of the nutrients being absorbed into the puppy's system. They become nutrient deficient and DIE. That is why you MUST take puppies to the vet for worming meds when they are new born.

Whoever bred this doggy is to blame for this. Your doggy ought to have been wormed at 3 weeks previous then each and every 2 weeks thereafter up till the time she went to her new homestead. this is the type of element that makes me go whilst human beings breed dogs yet do not difficulty to do any learn into what after care is needed for the welfare of the doggies. i think of you ought to take your doggy to the Vet asap and get a prescription wormer for her and ask your Vet to propose you on a perfect worming regime. carrying a burden of worms like it is amazingly extreme and it desires to be dealt with on the instant.

Are you serious? Your puppy was so full of worms it had to throw them up. You should have gotten him de wormed when you took him to the vet...which obviously you didn't. It can absolutley kill them, I can't believe that he was this bad and you didn't realize that something was wrong.

I am so sorry about your puppy. The best thing to have done would have
been to take him immediately to the vet for deworming. Yes, it can cause
them to die. Their little tummies become a mess and they can starve to
death even though you feed your pup. They need to be dewormed
regularly if they are outdoors at all. Puppies are so fragile. Again, I am
so sorry for the loss of your puppy.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. You need to contact the people that gave you the puppy and try to contact other new owners of pups as well. Use the media if you have to. The worms (as well as dehydration etc.) can kill and also so can the Parvo virus. You need to notify other puppy owners of this incident, so no one else will have a broken heart.
