I looove my dog, Moo. He's a Border Collie/Dalmation mix. So affectionate and incredibly smart. He can learn any trick in a day and won't forget it. He will not leave my side. Very protective and loveable.

Jack Russell Terriers are by far my favorite breed of dog ever! Have raised several breeds of dogs in past, these are the most amazing little animals! Their intelligence, energy, loyalty and love for their owner is unbelievable! If you truely love terriers and are able to deal with their high energy level, there isn't a more perfect dog. I have three females, ages 2, 3 and 4. I like my dogs far more than people!!!

I have done a ton of research online and dogbreed.com and my personal preference is a Great Dane. They don't have too long of a life expectancy (8-10 years) but at lovable, good with kids and great for protection. I also found this breed online I had never heard of before - Canis Panther. It is a mix of Pit Bull, German Shepard, Black Lab and Doberman Pinscher. They are bred for protection, but are loyal and loving to the whole family. The only bad side I can see is that they are only bred in Detroit and cost around $2000 - $3000 to get them as puppies. If I had the money, I would but one for sure!

My answer's obvious - Golden Retriever. I have had a lot of different dog breeds in my life, but did not get a golden retriever until two years ago. Where has he been all of my life. Super smart, extremely sweet and gentle and very very good with children. Does shed quite a bit, but nobody's perfect.
As I said, I have had many breeds in my life and they all held a special place in my heart for their individuality. I currently have my golden, a lab, and an irish setter (I have a lot of room for them to exercise). My second favorite dog that I just lost this past winter was my German Shepherd. Many of the same qualities as my golden, but an excellent watch dog. I miss her terribly!
My lab is a wonderfully obedient dog and she is my shadow, wherever I go she goes. She is super smart and sweet, but she was a horrendous puppy.
My setter is just a bonehead. I love him for it though. He's super sweet and loveable, but stubborn as the day is long.
I have owned a basset hound and boxer in the past, and even though I loved them, I would not ever get another one. Very sweet and loveable, but nothing between the ears. Beautiful dogs though.
I'm very partial to big dogs. I don't want something that fits in my lap, just thinks he or she does. My husband and I have determined that we are getting a Newfoundland when we do get another dog.
For you pitt bull fans out there, I agree with you. They are always portrayed in a bad light. I don't believe there is a "bad" dog out there. It's how they are raised and cared for that determine there temperaments. The best thing about any dog is that they are ALWAYS happy to see you.

My favorite breed of dog is a Yorkshire Terrier. They are very intelligent dogs, very active which keep you on your toes, they are very loyal dogs and they show lots of affection. They are adorable to look at and easy to carry around with you which you can take anywhere. You can dress them up in the coolest of doggie clothing and most of all, they have a beautiful coat which grows really long and you can show it off. You just want to cuddle them them, and once you have a yorkie you will always want a yorkie.
Plus they might be very small dogs but they have very big ego's. They are like little people with lots of hair.

Mine is a Lab because that is what we have laying around the house right now. Jake is a 100 pound Black Lab who loves everyone & every thing. He is gentle, a great bird hunting dog & a joy to own. The only draw back is that he is a water dog with an under coat of fur & sheds a lot of hair.

I have two, One is the Samoyed it is a beautiful well mannered dog. They enjoy people and are very very friendly. I had several before and we even had one with newborn puppies and she let us hold them and look at them and never bit or growled or anything. They are a beautiful dog with a wonderfully soft white coat. I have the link of it below and my other favorite is my boxer. He has enough energey to keep 5 children occupied at a time. He is loving and always right by my side. Either way i would be lost without my companions...

I've never really had a favorite. I used to really love Siberian huskies because I thought they were so beautiful but I've never owned one so I dont know what they are like. The dog I have now is a toy poodle. And he is the sweetest thing ever. He's so gentle and full of energy. I also like collies and many more! It's so hard to choose! =)

I love Shiba inu's
They are a big dog in a small body... thats the best way I can describe it. They are active little dogs that will adapt to your excerise needs, they are easy to housebreak because they dont like living in a dirty house they are very cat like in the sense that they are agile and loyal..... look is also why I love them.. they look like foxes when they get full grown and like a stuffed bear when young.
There are three colors that are excepted within the breed... red, seseame, black and tan.... and cream is also seen but not excepted in the show world. I've always loved larger breeds like husky, shepard's, and labs but cant handle one in a small house... so this breed is great because they have the same personalities as a large dog but in a compact size their weight range from 17 to 25 LBS full grown. They shed twice a year like a husky becuse of their double coats which is good for cold or heat so they can live a variety of climates which is good too since I live in Florida.
I have a 12week old red shiba girl named Nalla.... she is great about going outside to do her business and sleeps in her crate at night with no accidents. I showed her where to go a couple of times and now she goes to the door and wines so that I will take her out....she is so much fun and she is really friendly towards everyone. You can't help but love this breed! They are good with cats so long as they are raised with them from puppyhood, I have a bengal cat and they play for hours. this breed is very smart and if you start young with training its best. My shiba knows "sit", "look", "drop it" she is very responsive to the clicker method.Ftech is one that we are working on and she is catching on fast.
Trust me these little dogs are awsome and make your life so much more entertaining!
Just please dont buy from a pet store.. go to a breeder that has aknowlege about them.

Labrador Retrievers!! I have spent years around many breeds wether owning training or fostering and the only breed I fell for are the Labs. They are the most affectionate, dedicated, intelligent, fun loving versatile dogs. My Labs are so devoted to me and they do not care what we do as long as they are with me. My male is the biggest baby and clown. He has many traits like a humans and it cracks me up. I just love that they can be a huge part of my life. I take them swimming and kayaking with me, camping, horse back riding, to parties, etc, And they are smart so they are esy to train. Most of all they just match me and my life
