We've been seeing cute puppies around and have recently seen a Maltese. It's a good dog but my dad isn't keen on dogs. How do we get him to say yes (if you live in an apartment please give an answer. It's easier)

Hi, I was just wondering, do dogs or puppies always yelp if they get hurt? Because my dog yelps if she steps on something or anything little but sometimes she jumps around or falls down a single step and just keeps on running like it doesn't hurt at all. But is it because it just didn't hurt her? =S I don't know if this sounds confusing or not lol <3jessie

Eventually me and my girlfriend are getting 2 dogs. I want a golden retriever pup and she wants a yorkie pup. I love both dogs. I am just wondering if the two dogs mix. Would they fight? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

my poor english bulldog Julian was pretty much infested with fleas. he NEVER goes outside besides to use the bathroom. i had no idea he had them until this past weekend. i immediately put him in the tub and washed him and spent an hour picking the fleas off and drowning them down the drain. i got 85% of the fleas off of him. now i need to know how to keep them off. what is the best way to keep him "flea clear"? does flea dip work? what about the flea bombs for my house?

one of my dogs sometimes shows unhappiness when we touch his paws. But we don't mean to hurt him, just sometimes want to pet his big fur paws. Why? Any thoughts?

I have tried everything I and my vet can think of to give to my Rat Terrier. She will be fine for about 3 months and start vomiting. She is now on Purina and has been for 6 months and recently she started vomiting again. She is 1 month pregnant tho I dont belive that is the problem. I have raised Rat terriers for years and she is the first one I have ever had that has this problem. Even the food for sensitive stomachs will not work. The unborn puppies already have been spoken for and are going to pre-screened homes. People I already know. Plz if you can help let me know. I have already tried raw food same situation.

My dog likes to just stare at me. I'll be busy working on something, look over, and there he is just staring. I wake up in the mornings to a dog sitting on the bed staring at me. I'm sure he just loves me, but it's kind of creepy sometimes. Does anyone elses' dog do this?

I have three dogs now and have had dogs most of my life. I have read about this gland dogs have near their anus and that it needs to be drained sometimes, but I have never heard a veternarian discuss it with me not one time anytime I have taken my dogs to the vet for their annuals.
My question is, just how important is the draining of this gland and why hasn't any of my vets ever mentioned it?

I have heard both sides of the story...one being that pit bulls are dangerous, and the other about how it depends on the owner and how the dog was raised. If you ever owned, currently own, or know someone who has owned pit bulls, what do you think about them?
