every morning my dog will puke up clear stuff (stomach acid?) if she hadn't eaten any food RIGHT before bed. my mom said its cause otherwise she will wake up with no food in her tummy. has anyone had an issue like that with their chihuahua or other dog??

You will need to make sure this pet has small portions of food at all times.She is nauseated because her tummy is very empty.

Yup. If you give her a few kibbles at least before bed, she'll likely wake up and not throw up.. It's just from going so long without food thru the night.. She is just one of those dogs that need smaller amounts of food spread out.. You can even leave food out over night so that she can go get some if she is feeling a little hungry thru the night. Or get her up and give her something to eat right away.

hey its better u give her some food late at night right before going to bed and early in the morn.... n yea make sure her food is given in small quantities spread out a number of times over the day that shud ensure a filled stomach everytime.... long horus between food is not recommendable... if problen persists call the vet!!!

if it's a chihuahua they need to be fed at least 3 times a day.
they are known for low blood sugar and can start having seizures
I always suggest feeding chis as tehy want and pick up the food by 8 pm.

Yeah, that's how it was with my dog, she'll eventually get over it. But until then feed her a little right before she goes to bed.
