My dog does this especially in the winter time, and it could be rabbit, cat, or any other poop that may be out there, lol! But he doesn't do this all the time in the winter, just enough for me to notice...ewww!

I heard once that dogs can still smell the food in feces, though i find it kind of hard to believe, but who knows. Dogs do have keen senses of smell, or maybe they just like the taste

why do you need to know why dogs need to eat cat crap?
I suppose it smells and tastes good to them, or they wouldn't bother with it.

Isn't that disgusting?! I heard that it is largely protein so they like it. Wish it wasn't so. Dog gets thrown outside when she does it.
