Would A Golden Retriever And Yorkshire Terrior Puppy Mix?

Eventually me and my girlfriend are getting 2 dogs. I want a golden retriever pup and she wants a yorkie pup. I love both dogs. I am just wondering if the two dogs mix. Would they fight? Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

Yes, I think the two breeds of dogs are compatible to share a home. I would get both of them at the same time, if possible. The Golden Retriever breed is known for it's beauty and good nature. Yorkshire Terriers love their humans but can be sassy to other dogs. I know this because I've had two Yorkshire Terriers. I wouldn't be surprised if your little Yorkie is the boss dog and the Golden Retriever doesn't mind it at all. I hope you and your girlfriend have lots of fun with your dogs.

I think they would be fine if they are raised from puppyhood together so that the yorkie doesnt feel that over powered by the retriever b/c of the size difference.

Goldens are sweet and loyal dogs that if raised right are great family dogs and same goes for the yorkie.

Well every dog has a different tempermant but I'd say they would match because small dogs never think they are small so they act like they are the biggest dogs around and big dogs don't always realize how big they are. Goldens are extremely dog and human friendly so it will get along with practically every dog out there. good luck =] jessie

I see no reason these 2 dogs would not get along fine. Just be care full who you get your Golden from and your Yorkie.
My 2 Golden's play with my neighbors Maltese all the time. They know he's small so they scale back their playing with him too.

Like one other said please get the both of them Fixed.

they should be fine together but make sutre you get them fixed so you don't have problems with them breeding to each other.
