I have a German Shepherd 8 month old puppy who has just gone in to her first season and I want to know how many times she will go into season in a year ?

If she was 8 months in her first season she may well also be 8 months in her next season.
My girl was 11 1/2 months her first season and her next was 9 months later.
Girls set their own timetable for their season and they wont let us know untill they are just about right in season.

Every 6 mos is average for most breeds but Basenjis only have 1 heat a year..

It varies with all dogs, but it is said every 6 mo. more or less at times. Now she will stay in heat for 3 wks., but can be shorter or longer at times.
