why dont you look up info for both those breeds and see which one would be best for you.

Whichever kind of dog you get should #1 depend on where your living and the environment #2 if you want a dog that is going to be more active the chihuahua is the better choice #3 if you are not at home often a pug would not be a very wise choice because they are more dependent then a chihuahua #4 chihuahuas are definitely more aggressive are not a good choice if there are children in the home #5 a long-haired chihuahua would require more maintenance than a pug #6 chihuahuas are prone to illness including tumors #7 I suggest you do research on each breed before you decide but in the end the choice really is up to you

I would tell you to get a long haired chihuahua. I have two of them 1 is short hair and the other is long. All I can tell you is that over the years I have had many dogs, big and small and these little guys are the most loving and loyal dogs ever. When I am sick they will not leave my side even to eat, if my husband tries to get them to feed them or take them out they will bite him, which I think is funny but him not so much, they sleep with me they go everywhere with me. They are also very intelligent, they understand every thing you say after they have been with you for awhile. Good luck with whatever kind of dog you get I love them all.

pugs and chiwawas are great dogs but it really depends on your life style if you an athletic person who lives in a very hot or cold climate and would like to take the dog for long walks i would get the chiwawa pugs overheat very easily and could majorly suffer death is possible if left outside for long periods of time in hot weather on the other hand if you a person who just likes to relax and has a slower life style a pug would fit in just right chiwawas can be very hyper and need excersise just like any other dog but they need it more then a pug would

pugs can have bad upper respritoy problems, and thier breathing can keep you awake at night and annoy house geusts. But personally, I think they are way more adoraball.
Chihuhuahuas are very dominant, they may require more training than the pug in that they like to pick fights with the big dogs. They are quite yappy and will bark constantly if they think anyone is challanging them. i would get the pug, they are way les annoying.

A pug. They arn't so small and easier to handle. Chihuahuas are really loud and most of them can be mean. Good luck!

Well, if you ask me, don' t choose either, they are so small that it can be a lot of work for you, and because of their looks, they may catch diseases easily without experienced caring. I would suggest Shetland Sheepdog for you if you like it:
The Shetland Sheepdog is an outstanding companion dog with a delightful temperament. Gentle, sensitive, loyal and dainty. Very lively, intelligent and trainable. The Shetland Sheepdog is one to the smartest breeds, very willing to please and obey. These dogs are so smart that many fanciers consider them to have almost human intelligence.

well if you cannot decide here is an easy way.
Get on a list for the rescue in both breeds.... foster to adopt! chances are one of your breeds will pop up and you can do right by an animal and have a life long friend!
Good luck!
