All puppies bite at first. Some people say to hold their mouth shut for a second or two cause that's what their mama does when they bite her. I have never had much luck with this method.
Do you know the sign for "No" in ASL(American Sign Language)? It's really easy and when used with other discipline dogs seem to obey it well. I can't really explain the sign but you could get an ASL book. Many dogs learn well visually.
They do very well with signs for, sit, stay, and no.
Also have you even watched "The Dog Whisperer" on TV? You might want to. He could help a lot.
Some dogs respond well to a harsh shhhhhh! sound for no.
Hope some of this helps.

the reason your pup is biting is because she is teething and when pups teeth thay have to bite anything because it helps with the sore gums. what i did with my boxer pup was i said ow in high pitch voice to let her know that she is hurting me because puppy's don't known that are doing that. once the pup knowsthat ow word then she may stop . it will take some time for her to learn that and it will not happened over night or she may get right away. also that what she would do to her other litter mates that play bit ting. don't hit her nose she does not understand that yet it will only make it worse. saying the word no is OK but i don't know if she understands that word yet. it will take some time as well. you can try puppy traing classes to see if that helps. also try getting a book on German Shepard's. . i did that when i got my boxer pup. it help me understand the puppy stuff like what you are going thru. hope this helps.

Keyword here is "9 week old puppy."
My puppy bites me all the time if I start to play with him.
Maybe you need to try to play with the puppy.
Maybe the puppy just wants some attention and to be played with.
It's nothing to worry about.
She will grow out of biting soon.
If she gets aggressive towards you when you do this then grab her snout and say NO.
Eventually if you keep doing it then she will stop.
Remember she is just a "9 week old German Shepherd"

Never ever hit your dog. All you will teach it is to fear you. Puppies bite and chew everything, that is how they explore their world and how the play with litter mates. You have to react the way a litter mate would react if bitten to where it hurts. Pull your hand away and cry out very loud, an "ouch" is fine. Don't do this at the puppy, do it to your hand. Turn away from the puppy and keep turning away and ignore the puppy. Pretend to tend to your hand. Ignore the puppy for at least 10 minutes. They puppy learns real fast that if it bites too hard it will lose a playmate.

The best thing I have found is that you grab her snout and hold it closed, and say NO BITE very seriuosly and more than once, and hold it closed for a few seconds. We have had two puppies that we raised this way. If we say no bite they will become very nice and back off.

Don't let her bite, they will learn that it is ok and that is a bad thing. I don't think you want to put her down for biting people.

We raise mini schnauzers, I would suggest holding her by the snout squeezing while telling her no bite it will be uncomfortable for her but will not hurt her. And it is going to take persistence as she is just a baby.

Just give her time. She'll grow out of it. It's just that she's a puppy and she's going to chew. Trust me, they all do!

she probably doesnt trust u yet. It might also be trying to play with u. Puppies play by wresting and biting. When he gets oler he'll stop.
