My bichon was the same way. He was wacko! We decided to get a trainer. The first thing that the trainer said to us was "What kind of food does he have?" She told us that food with corn in it actually makes them more hyper. We found corn in our food and immediately changed. We saw a big difference!
Also, our trainer asked us if he was getting enough exercise. She told us to increase it by 50%. He calmed down a lot and was very tired at night so he didn't wake us up.
She told us about this thing called rescue remedy. It was a "drug" for dogs that calmed them down. It was not to be used daily. We only used it for parties or when people were coming over so that he would not bother them. I wasn't too keen on the idea of a drug, but it helped without making him sleep 24/7.
Good luck! Have a nice day! -Audrina

He'll grow out of it. My blonde spaniel ' Woogie' was a crazy little $hit when he was a pup. Running to and fro, always on the go, throw the frisbee one more time, lets play in the pond, please take me for a car ride. It never stopped.
He's a wonderful old dog now. Still on the go but... without all the go. :) Treasure his crazy days... you'll miss them when they're gone.

WALK WALK WALK.............get the little guy ( or gal ) tired. Tired submissive dogs are the best behaved dogs on the planet. YOU be the boss during these walks. That is, don't let the dog lead, at least untill it is "TIRED SUBMISSIVE". then, and only then may it be taken "off lead".
