I live in Southern California. Standard yard with lawn and peach tree. No any posion plants. Is it safe for a 4 months puppy running free in the yard with supervision.

as long as there is no pool and adequate supervision there should be no problem. also be sure tool shed is inaccessible if you keep yard chemicals there.

One of the biggest dangers is your puppy getting out of the yard and going 'at large' where there are many dangers and where he could get injured or stolen. If all fences are secure, that is one less worry. Another concern is adequate shade if you live in a really hot area. My yard has lots of shade trees. Third, you have to be aware of your neighbors, are they good people? Can you trust the people in the area to not bother your dog in the yard? These are the dangers that I have encountered

With supervision? Of course. I was wondering if your yard is fenced in. If so, definitely no worries, even alone for a few minutes. But, that's just my opinion. The only thing I worried about when my dog was that young, was someone coming along and taking him when I wasn't outside. Needless to say, he didn't stay out alone for too long.

Should be safe as long as pup is being watched - where we live if the pup is a small breed then you need to also watch the sky for hawks - they will scoop up any small animal as in rabbit kitten and pup- seen this happen!! So sad- Watch for snakes and any other animals that come up too, rabies! Pup can not be vaccinated until 6 months! Good luck and hope your pup give you many years of companionship!

Only under direct supervison (that means no reading a book or magazine or daydreaming) and only if your yard is fenced. Any coyotes roam your neighborhood? Some will grab up puppies, kittens and even small children in broad daylight. They are too fast and run off with them before you can even react.

It should be perfectly safe as long as you're supervising, but wouldn't leave alone if you haven't got a fenced yard.

with supervision you should be fine. check the area before you let him/her out.
basically the same dangers you would check for a child is waht you would check for the pup.
