WhY Do DoGs EaT PoOp?

My dogs eat poop and I think that is not right. Ewww.....please help me know what they are thinking by doing that.

According to the Vets I talked to, they had no way of explaining the reason for it , other than that some dogs do, and some dogs don't*....... They really don't know why?
