I have a puppy i recently bought and yesterday when he pooped a worm like this one http://www.beaglesunlimited.com/Photos/CanineRoundworms.jpg
came out
i was told by someone that if i boil a garlic in water for about 10 or 15 minutes and then gave the water to my dog(when it cools down of course) it can kill the worms so is it true?

IM NOT GOING TO DO THAT TO MY DOG
IM GOING TO TAKE HIM TO THE VET TOMORROW MORNING TO GET A CHECK UP AND ALL HIS SHOTS

SO IM JUST WONDERING IF ITS TRUE

If you are going to tell me not to breed... don't reply, I will send your reply in as a complaint!
I am going to breed my female mini dachshund, it took over a year to locate a good stud, she has been tested for everything and has a clean bill of health! My question is about people interested in the puppies. How do we check them out. I would hate to go by word of mouth just to find out that they were bad people.
Now, when I found my little one, the breeder made me sign an agreement that if for any reason I do not want her. They will take her back... does that help in finding safe homes?
Maybe we could run them throuh the PD to see who they are. Or would the AKC web site be best. Just wondering. Thanks for the help!

He stopped eating, but still has tried to drink water though it is vomited.

We inject into his mouth a mixture previously found to help --cola and liver-paste, sometimes just cola. This has in the past helped to get blockages dissolved.

This time, we seem to be running out of time, and it is not clear if it is a blockage or not. We did probe his rectum but found nothing there blocking the exit.

At this time he is getting the haunted look is starting to be unable to move around.

Any suggestions?

I have a lab/chow-chow mix, my parents got him a little bit before i was born and my 16th birthday is in 2 months so he is at least 15 or 16. He has a very hard time walking and getting up stairs because of his hind legs. He is still able to stand on them but they are very weak. He doesn't show any signs of pain, besides barking when he is alone, but other than that he is fine. I would rather put him down than wait for his legs to completely give out, but my dad does not want to and my sister said that it is probably just arthritis. She also told me that arthritis in dogs can be treated with some sort of shot from the vet. However, he is soo old I do not know if its worth to prolong his life anymore, I mean i can't believe he's made it to 16, but I can only wonder how much life hes got left. What should I do?

I have been breeding my dogs for 3 days now. She is in her heat but everytime they do it they don't lock. He gets as big as he is supposed to, he swells inside but they don't lock!!! I have even held them together. I have done everything I can think of it's just not working. Just wondering what the possible problems could be? Also, is there anything I can do to get them to lock?
In response to some of your answers...My dogs are pugs. I am just beginning to breed but I have taken courses and read up A LOT before doing this! The over-population of animals are not breeders faults, it is people who take on pets who shouldn't. People who get rid of thier animals over stupid reasons. Puppy mills, and places like that I agree are disgusting, but don't blame legit breeders like me!!!

My mom's Shih Tzu has some serious flea issues, and I heard that fleas don't like the smell of lemon, but we don't have anything lemon scented. We're currently using flea shampoo and powder, but if there's any household items we can use to help, it would be nice to know about it...

He is acting great feeling great and healed. I noticed that only one of his testicles has reduced it's size but the other is still about the same. Is this normal? How long will it take for the other to shrink if at all. Thank you for your help.

I have 2 weimaraners. We have had are first weim, Bullet, for 5 years now and he has always been very wild and out of control. Don't get me wrong, we love him its just whenever we go out in the backyard he completly freaks out and starts biting and jumping on the kids. Inside, he eats off the counters and runs over the whole house until we put him in his kennel. Our other weim, Cam, is new to the family being here for only a week. When we saw him the first few times he was calm and sweet but now that he's at our home he is completly crazy! Jumping and barking! If you have any tips please help!

I just got a bulldog. He is about five years old. I have had him for over a week now. His bowels have been loose but I think that is the wet food that I feed him. Today he has had diera in his crate and thrown up on my floor three times. He has all week thrown up on my floor about once a day. Today I have given him rice and chicken broth for his dinner but he will not eat it. He stiffed the bowl and then walked away. I cant tell if he his being defiant because I am working throughout the day and he feels that I am not spending enough time with him or is he sick and then what should I do if he is not gong to eat.
