I'm going to get a Cardigan Welsh Corgi soon. Is there a way where I can get a Cardigan Welsh Corgi without me paying too much? Also, are there any breeders that will give away free CWCs? Does anyone know any breeders? I don't want to waste too much money on the CWC and its necessary items, for example, a leash, collar, house, water and food bowls.

I have a 3 year old pomeranian, and I must say he is a real menace lately. He goes to the bathroom in the basement when he is alone and barks when he doesn't get to come up. People say that this is because he doesn't like being down there alone and wants to come join the rest of the family. It is a finished basement so it's not like we lock the dog down in a dirty basement. We go down there all the time but when we come up, he barks. Any advice on how to train him to stop barking and peeing everywhere. We've tried letting him up but he still pees on the carpets and goes into the trashcan and rips stuff up. He really is a menace. We want to try everything we can without getting rid of him.

My dog has all the usual tricks to draw my attention to his needs.

He paws the door for 'walkies'
He rattles his dish for food/water
He brings a ball for play

But recently he has developed a really cheeky way of getting my response. When he has tried the above methods and they've failed to rouse me, he gets a "squeaking toy" and makes a continuous cacophony until I have to give him my full attention or suffer a headache.

Does your dog have any advanced communication methods?

I have a 3 month old puppy and she is a digger big time. I have tried putting her poop in the places she digs but she will just move a few inches from the poop and dig a new hole. My yard is starting to look like a mine field. I am thinking about using cayenne pepper to solve the problem however I don't want it to hurt her. So I am wondering if this is too mean to use?

yet horse people ride their horses down the sidewalk and their horses walk and poop at the same time so they leave huge piles of crap and then the people don't have to clean it up!?

This female never has a convulsion when she is in the yard and or house. but when let out she goes into a seizure, lays down, stiffens out, foams at the mouth for approximately 3 min,s and returns as herself. It only happens when she is turned out or I have to take her somewhere. No pranksters, I love this dog.

I am getting a doberman puppy this summer and i am trying to decide whether to have his ears cropped or not. I have owned Dobermans and they have all had cropped ears which i think looks very elegant and regal. although it can be expensive and very cosmetic. not to mention painful to the puppy. My husband doesn't really care..i am torn...I would love to get personal opinons and and pictures you can share! Thank you...serious answers only!!!!!!

My dog is pretty overweight. My mom thinks it's just the body she grew into... but I don't want to take that chance. She wasn't like this when she was younger. She is eating diet food... which has made a 2% change. Anyone have any other ideas out there?
BTW... she's 9 years old. :)

I don't know what to do with my dog, hes really getting on my nerves and I can hardly stand it anymore...

we got him from the pound about a year ago, for the most part he has been an excellent dog, every once in awhile will have an accident, and sometimes will be dumb so he gets a light slap on the butt... but the past 2 weeks every time we leave he gets into the garbage and leaves it all over the place... its become quite the issue.. when i came home i would yell and spank his butt... its not working anymore.. hes becoming scared of me and is listening less and less... I have recently just sat him down got eye level with him and told him he is naughty... and he knows it too when we come home he is always hiding because he thinks hes going to get in trouble... if he was a good boy we give him a treat though.... we thought maybe it was a need for attention this weekend we gave him a good 20 hours of undivided attention, yet went out to eat on sunday night and still did it..i dont know.

We recently brought our dog to the vet for his allergies (he's been on Benadryl for about 6 months) and since he has not responded to the antihistamine treatment the vet suggested putting him on a food trial. We have to switch to a food that is completely (down to the last ingredient ) different from any food we've give him in the past. We have only fed him Iams puppy and Science Diet puppy dry food. I am looking for any suggestions on dog foods that have a short list of ingredients (less filler stuff) and don't contain chicken, beef, corn, or the other really common dog food ingredients. I am also willing to cook for my dog if necessary so any links to good sites with recipes for dogs would be great too!! Any suggestions at all would help me start looking for a healthier food source for our dog. There are so many foods out there that a few starting points would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

What is the easiest way to keep flies from biting my dogs ears in the summer?

They're driving him crazy and I've tried spraying him with "Off" but all he does is roll in the dirt and rub it away. I've tried rubbing Vaseline on them but, same thing, he gets it all dirty and rubs it off. He's afraid of water so I cant spray him with the garden hose to try to help...

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!!

I would like to adopt a small breed dog. He/she would be a house dog. There are 4 children in the household all are 10 and over except for the 7 year old. We have 2 outside dogs at the moment a lab and a husky but they are allways outside. The dog would have to be good with cats though because we have a house cat. Also, we dont really want a dog that barks or yips at everything in site expecially when someone knocks at the door, we allready have problems with our lab barking at everything. We would be able to groom it everyday and are able to provide daily exercise. Do you know of any small breed dogs that would be good for our household??

Where I am located, all the stores sale nothing but crap dog food, like pedigree. Therefore, it seems that I can only cook something for my dog. If I cook my dog chicken and white rice (a meal which will have no salt or fat), would it be a healthy meal for him?

He is an 8-year-old, male Pomeranian, is not obese, and has no health issues.
