I got a puppy today and I dont know the breed of it, although I do think it is a jack russel terrier but not quite sure.

Possible that it is a basset / lab mix. We just adopted one out this week, had the total body of a basset hound, but the color and head of a lab. The legs appear short and the body long.
However, the beagle possibility is likely as well. Hard to tell from the photo and the age.

Definitely Beagle, mixed with? For sure has a beagle face, maybe it isn't mixed at all. My beagle only has two colors, lemon and white and she has freckles too. Black and white, remember Snoopy? When it gets it voice, you'll know if there's any hound in there...they have a distinctive voice.
I don't think you can go wrong with a face like that though! So cute.

It looks like a beagle most differently. I want to say that it is also mixed with either Dalmatian or Border Collie. It has to be getting it's color and spots from one of those breeds. It is kind of hard with mixed puppies, but I do know one thing you have a cutie. I hope your going to give it a great home.

geesh, its hard to tell when they are so young. my first thought was a beagle/hound mix of some sort. but i have also seen dane mixes with that kind of marking.
they do have DNA tests available now to see what blood strands the dog has. it really new so it might be expensive or only in certain cities.

With those ears, I would say he has some beagle in him. Not a Jack Russel.

That is not a JRT puppy because I have one and they look nothing alike. I think it is a spaniel or pointer mix. Maybe some beagle.

It almost looks like a boston terrier beagle mix...which is entirely possible considering they have been mixing all kinds of stuff on purpose...that'd be my guess.
