There is a shot that repels mosquitos???
Do you know what it is called or how it works?
Avon skin so soft might work too. I bet it would make their fur soft too. Good ideas so far. Thanks ladies!

Get a spray bottle with water in it and add 10-15 drops of lavender oil, lemongrass oil, or eucalyptus oil and spray them everytime they go outside. It also helps keep them smelling good and prevents dandruff.

First make sure your pet is on a good hearworm prevention like Heartguard, or Revolution.
Because Mosquitos carry Heart Worms and transmit them to your dog
Heartworms are painful to treat, multiple deep injections on either side of the spine, then no activity or your dog could cause a heart attack from treatment, so strick confinment
If not treated: leads to bloating, coughing and a miserable death.
So EVERYONE PLEASE PREVENT HEARTWORMS
There are products you can apply on your pet once monthly that also repel mosquitos, like Advantix, just ask your vet.

well you can treat your yard with a seasonal treatment for fleas ticks and mosquitos but you can also spray some skin so soft on them behind their neck like you would advantage and that works while your outside but you would have to do it every couple of hours. or there is a shot you can get them from any farm animal feed store it lasts a year and keeps everything off including the mosquitoes and flies this is what i give my dogs and they never have any problems you can also get this shot from your local vet

I wanted to keep mosquitos from eating my horse and dogs ,but if the dog or horse was to lick them selves and taste the poison it could be toxic.Try tea tree oil diluted with water ,mosquitos hate it and its organic and safe for animals.

Use products with this active ingredient:
N,N-diethyl-meta toluamide

This is safe for humans so no need to worry. Spray it on him to keep mosquitoes away. Off! insect repellent spray has this active ingredient and it works effectively.

Avon Skin So Soft is what I use on my Italian Greyhound. He is very sensitive to chemicals so I use that and it works great

That is what my vet told me to get so I know it is safe. And do not get any bug spray such as OFF! That is a good way to kill your dog.
