okay here is the story!

We all had to go to old mexico to drop off my mom and sisters, we left our dog to my brother who lives next door. Now he has owned some dogs so I thought he knew what he was doing!

We come back and he hands me him back, sick!! The dog is a little 6-8 inch tall, and 9-10 weeks old maybe more! He was doing this wierd twitching, spazzing out thing. Now I thought it only got some kinda cold or flu thing going on. so I wash him up and feed him he was looking good. But now he seems weak just before i wrote this he took a dump while laying on his side instead of standing up the normal way, and he is just laying there breathing hard, but the spazzing thing has not gone on for about a week!

I had asked for help last week with my 4 month old puggle puppy -thank you for all that answered. However I left out that I already keep her caged and a close eye on her, she goes outside but continues to go in the house - she knows it is wrong because she hides when she has done it. How can we get her to stop going in the house. She is not even making any attempt to go to the door to go out. We take her out after she plays, when we get her out from her cage, after naps and stuff, she goes outside , but then 10 min. later she is going in the house! She is driving me nuts ! Thanks for any suggestions.....

Has anybody ever had their dog's tear ducts drained? I have a pom pup who tears frequently (which causes staining) and my vet suggested trying to drain the ducts because they might be plugged. It seems like a rather simple and cheap procedure, what do you think?

they look like little black dots, and at first when i started seeing it, i checked it out and they pop out kinda like a splinter in your hand would. i know this is a weird question. but if anyone knows please let me know. i keep forgetting to ask my vet what it's from. but he's never said anything bad about it before, so i know it's not harmful.

going blind. She has been such a great dog, never sick and always happy. I cant stand to see her like this. I love her so much and am completely heartbroken. Everything she does or eats today is her last time doing it. Has anyone ever had to put a dog down? What is the procedure I can expect? How do you walk away and drive home? That is going to be so rough. Any advice or comments to help me through this would really be appreciated

He is well fed but, when we let him out in the back yard he eats dog poop. When he goes for walks if he finds poop he eats it. We love him but cannot stand his breath. His brother Brandon is more discrete --- doesn't eat poop atleast not as much as Joel. What up Dog people????

I just brought my dog in and it threw up this yellow, thick fluid, how can I make it throw up more of it with what is at home? Or at a local Wal-Mart, but I would prefer something that I have in my house, as I have no vehicle.

I have a dog, he's about 50 pounds, and he just now threw up 3 times. I just fed him, and his puke seems to be unchewed food and some kind of brown liquid. Now he keeps licking his lips and panting. Whats wrong with him? He's never done this before, hasn't gotten into anything dangerous that I know of. Whats wrong? I just checked, I don't think he's in shock, other than this he seems to be fine. Now he's eating it. Should I stop him? It looks just like his food when it went in.

These are things dogs could teach us.....

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a ride.
When it's in your best interest, practice obediance.
Let others know when they have invaded your territory.
Take naps and stretch before rising.
Run, romp and play daily.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
When you are happy, dance and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you are scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you are not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

My dog was confined in my car with the windows partial down for air in the evening, I went to the store with my friend approx 7 min for propane came back and his child who is 6 was crying that my dog bit him, I asked if he put his hand in the care obviously so, so I asked why. My friend said someone could sue you for this and I say no if my dog is in my car, noone should be putting their hand in the car, this dog was allowed out while I was there, did not bark, growl or bite, not even to the other dog there. I believe she was provoked and he believes she may be mean and I do not know it unless I am around
I believe his child should have been disaplined for putting his hand in my car when he should know better, he states it was my dog's fault for acting aggressive.
What do you think

My dog sleeps downstairs and I sleep upstairs. This is because she has a bladder problem and if she sees me in the mrning when she wakes up she will get excited and pee before I can take her outside. But she is usually fine with sleeping downstairs. I'll say goodnite to her and she'll go lay down and sleep the whole nite. For the past three nights she has been sitting at the bottom of the stairs crying, whining and yelping. All NIGHT LONG. I don't know how to get her to go to sleep and stay. She just won't listen. When I leave the house she barks and cries. SHe didn't start this until three days ago. ANy tips on how I can get her to stop this?
